The interior of the place is very enticing with its sea green and tan tones. The receptionist and the nail technicians were professional and polite. The atmosphere was generally relaxing with no loud music blaring through the speakers. Customers also get to sit on soft, low couches which if you're not careful, may lead you to fall asleep during the massage part of the service. :) Nail-A-Holics also offers a vast selection of nail polish brands and colors to choose from. Nail Cocktales has been my nail salon of choice for nearly a year now since I moved from my old salon. The place always smells so fresh and clean with equipment they apparently sterilize after every use. I have had the chance to get to know the owner and I am quite impressed by how she runs her business. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed, stressed, and concerned about the condition of my nails. The therapist who attended to me, Irene, appeared to be very careless during the procedure. She was too rough while cleaning my nails, causing significant discomfort and pain. I informed her that I have high blood sugar and requested that she be more gentle and careful. Despite this, my nail started bleeding. I no longer felt comfortable with how the service was being performed, as the pain continued and there seemed to be little effort to adjust her technique. When she proceeded to clean my other foot, the same thing happened. I again told her that it was painful and asked her to stop because it was already bleeding as well. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that your nail cleaning service costs more than what many other nail salons charge. I did not mind paying a higher price because I expected better care, professionalism, and attention to client safety. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced. As of now, my nail has become swollen and has developed pus, causing significant pain and discomfort. This has resulted in additional stress and concern on my part. I hope management will take this matter seriously, review the incident, and ensure that staff members are properly trained to perform services safely and with the level of care that clients deserve. No customer should leave a salon with an injury and a possible infection after a routine nail cleaning service. Rating: 1/5 - Very disappointing experience.
