The receptionist was AMAZING! She worked really hard to ensure that all of my needs were met. The Dental Hygienists and other support staff were exceptional. They were kind, accommodating, patient and professional. I also love how thorough, patient, and understanding Dr. Burgess was. He took the time to review/explain to me the issues I was having with my teeth and described in detail how he would address my dental concerns. He and his staff were also able to examine my son who is autistic which speaks volumes given our experiences in other practices. My overall experience here was exceptional. If you have a dentist, leave and come here. If you are fearful of dentists, come here. If you have children who have some social challenges, come here! I promise you won't regret it. I can go on and on but will stop here but again, if you wish to have your dental needs met in a clean, warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere, then I recommend Dr. Burgess because my experience here was wonderful.

I had 2 cavities filled by Dr Kassel some months ago but still had tooth sensitivity. When I came in to have my teeth examined I got to meet Dr Sam, the new dentist. He is a very condescending man. Rude to both myself and Renee. Dr Kassel had Renee measuring my teeth at each cleaning. Dr Sam had mentioned to me that I may grind my teeth, which I told him we we measuring a certain spot on my teeth to see if that could be the case. Well the condescending jerk asked who is taking this measurement? I replied Renee and myself to which he said she is just a dental hygienist not a doctor. When working in my mouth he continually pushed down on my gums with the mirror. And not just to keep my mouth open, but forcefully. The next visit that I came in for Dr Kassel had just returned from vacation and was overbooked. I sat in the dentist chair for over an hour before him coming in and asking to schedule another day as I was not in that much pain.. After getting two temporary fillings, I was finally through the sensitivity and we were waiting until my cleaning in September to put in permanent fillings. This brings me to today. Shortly before 1PM I had called to make an appointment as my gums were bleeding and in pain from the temporary fillings. I was given a 7PM appointment, which was great until 4:30PM rolled around and I was told that Dr Kassel was double booked and could not keep my appointment. I was irate and still am. I was given a new appointment, but not until Monday. I told the receptionist that I would be contacting other dentists to see if I could get this issue resolved today as I was in pain. I did find another dentist and called back to cancel all of my appointments as I will not be going back here. When I did so there was no apology or even an attempt to keep me as a customer. I was very disappointed by the level of customer service.

Refused to listen to my dr's advice to him not to lean me back too far or jerk too hard as I have bad back and neck and have been homebound for over 3 years. My dentist who had sent me there, told him and nothing was done to reprimand him.

I have always been satisfied with his chairside manner, his professionalism, and his self-evidence competence. My total satisfaction with Doug was validated some years ago when a woman I was dating, who was employed at another dental office, reported that he was highly respected in the dental community. There are plenty of professionals of questionable competence who may have many satisfied customers or clients, but gaining the respect of their colleagues in the same profession isn't easy. I have never experienced any billing issues as described by another reviewer, but I suspect that her problems are entirely attributable to poor communications and problem-solving skills on her part, which may cause an easily resolvable disagreement to be blown out of proportion, thwarting a quick solution. Dr. Schneck continues to practice dentisty not because he can't afford to retire (I assume) but because he loves the work (so I am told by those who work for him). It is almost a truism that those blessed with a career that they love are more effective than those who are trapped in a job they can barely tolerate. In short, I can highly and without reservations recommend Dr. Douglas L. Schneck, he is not only a great dentist, but an all-around example of the American Dream fulfilled. He is a loving husband, father, and grandfather whom I am privileged to know, and to be one of his longest-tenured patients. And I still have the teeth to prove it!

Fantastic dental office great services very professional team except for the new person they hired…read morePattie she does not know how to do her job she had made a mistake with my billing told me I would only have to pay $200 out of pocket by the end of the services I had to pay $1420 out of my pocket because of her mistake. She demanded that I pay In full. That action had put me back financially for weeks. Pattie only cares about money and how much she can get from you by deceiving you into coming in to get dental work done, then charging you an arm and a leg and tell you you're responsible for it. Pattie is very deceitful and very dishonest.

The surgeon did a great…read morejob; however, one of the implants came loose, so I needed to get the information for my dentist to replace the screw. This office had minimal records of my visit. They couldn't even tell me who the surgeon was who performed the procedure! My dentist has to play detective to determine the details that should have been preserved. We're still working on tracking down the exact screw that is needed. I remember that the surgeon (a woman) also taught the procedure at U of M but that's all I know.
