A good after my own heart-Tacos, and my favorite cuisine-Korean BOOM I've found my forever go-to eats at Helotes Market Day!! I got one of each: Beef Bulgogi, Jukgang Pork, Chicken Kalbi Beef Bulgogi: Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Not greasy or overloaded with sauce. All the expected flair of authentic Beef Bulgogi. Even with the kimchi slaw, it wasn't spicy, my 5-year old shared it with me without a hitch. Doenjang Pork: Also well seasoned, perfectly chopped sized meat also not greasy or saucy. Just right! A hint of spicy, but also nothing my daughter couldn't handle. (Chicken) Dak Kalbi: Probably the best chicken version of my favorite Korean dish ever! It was the best smelling, had the most complex flavoring (you could really taste the Korean style flavors in this one) the spiciest of all, (but still tolerable for the non-spicy eater) and of course perfectly cooked and bite size chucks of meat. and if eating them right off the grill wasn't enough, they have a great selection of complimentary sauces, limes and cilantro onion garnish...I didn't get the name of the sauces because I seriously inhaled them as soon as they handed them to me. Marla and her husband (the amazing ‍ and fellow veteran) are awesome! it was such a treat to chat with Marla while waiting on my foodie treasure! I think I just made a new best friend!! The pricing is fair compared to other food vendors/trucks in the area especially for what they are offering. But even if they were a little pricey, I'd still eat them-because let's face it, there is no comparison to this amazing Korean Taco mobile! Even my husband who hates kimchi was convinced these are THE BEST Korean Tacos in San Antonio!! A once a month treat...keeps me wanting more!! A once a month treat that is well worth waiting for!!

Big thank you to taco spot next door to Caty's that pointed me in their direction! I always use yelp to find new food spots when I'm in a new location but to my surprise Caty's Tacos had not been reviewed here yet. Don't let that fool you they have several great reviews on their instagram and google maps. Anyways back to the tacos, they are seasoned so delicious, tender and cheesy.. just drooling good! The salsas!!! The green one is so good!! Just right in spice and flavor! It was the perfect addition to my already perfect tacos! The red one was good and so was the white but when they say spicy they mean it lol! Still both were such a good flavor just too spicy for me. I like to add a side of rice to my order because I'm greedy and I like to enjoy every last drop of the consume!! I think I've mentioned it in my other reviews but I add the rice to the broth to make what I like to call my "Mexican gumbo" & this mixture from Caty's Tacos *chefs kiss* delicious! I think it goes without saying that I am DEFINITELY a new frequent customer!

Easiest 5 we have eaten at in a long time. Well, everyone says "best chicken I've ever had". I will…read moresay this, it's one of these best grilled chicken we've ever had. It's the marinade, and the care they take in grilling it just right. We started off with pupusas. They were fantastic. The midget had the bean and cheese one, and the adults had chicharron. These pupusas were cooked perfectly. They didn't fall apart, and they put in more filling than other places. We are not too familiar with this cuisine, but man we were missing out! They served the pupusas with this type of coleslaw that was more tart than sweet. It was so good with the pupusas. We are not big fans of normal close slaw in our family. Yet this was a big hit everyone! We ordered the family parillada for us. Let me tell you, I'm a huge proponent of value. This was value PLUS! It came with lots of food! It came with the chicken of course, but also with some very tender and flavorful carne asada. It came on a bed of onion! But get this...there was more meat than onion! They give you HOMEMADE corn tortillas!!!!! Yes!!!! Plenty of sides and tortillas! We washed it all down with horchatas which were amazing too. Now I say not every place is perfect. The rice freak did not enjoy the rice. It was just ok for us. I can see why. I think it's a cultural thing, and the way they prepare it is not what we are accustomed to. It looked better than it tasted, it wasn't horrible but we could've done without it. Also there was a pink/orange sauce that was served that we did not get. It wasn't spicy, and it wasn't good. Didn't understand it. The beans were great, but again lacked a little spice. I know we may be biased to spice or heat, but a couple of jalapeños would've put the beans in another stratosphere. Otherwise they were executed perfectly! The green sauce and the coleslaw(it's probably called something else, forgive the ignorance) were the stars! We also appreciated how well the food was packaged, and they don't use cheap packaging for the sides! This was a wonderful experience for us after a great service at church! HIGHLY recommend and we will be back for sure!
