As you come through the door of this restaurant/B&B it says you may feel you've stepped back in time. Think early 80's, very swirly carpets, low ceilings and a gazilllion knick knacks on every available surface.The owners are very friendly, welcoming you into the tiny bar which is well stocked, particularly if you like single malt whisky.
As you sip your pre prandial a young waitress arrives with a menu and wine list and the offerings are old fashioned but solid. Chicken liver comes in a crepe, pork loin comes with green peppercorn sauce, the ingredients are local and fresh with herbs coming from the garden. It all feels very solid, lacking in delicacy.
