Andy Zenczak alone is worth checking Gadgetbox out for, aside from being a gadgets man, an incredible producer and a true musician, Andy is just an all around good guy who you can really trust to take care of your music. He has an open mind and open ears all the time. He is ready to go with you on any adventure of sound, style or emotional release. Not only does the Gadgetbox have a cozy vibe, but it is equipped with tons of great gear to use, vintage and boutique amps, pedals, guitars, mics, Rhodes, you name it. Andy is a great part of the music community too. As a solo artist, I was able to have any collection of players needed for each tune. Adam's mastering mix was superior to Abbey Road's Grammy Award winning engineer's version. Adam has a great ear for sound and knows how to translate his client's vision into reality. Compared with some of the other recording studios I've worked with Justin's work helps me approximate the feel and sound of my primary instrument (violin) in a live setting. Also, he has been welcoming to my other stringed instruments as well (viola, string bass, ukulele). One track we were experimenting and he was able to help me find a maraca and a stand to complete the percussion track, and he has been flexible to allow me to improvise tracks or come in with previously arranged and orchestrated pieces. I have made many fond memories in Bear Creek Recording Studio, working on a variety of material for friends, family, students and personal projects, as well as projects for my professional career as a musician. I look forward to continuing to work with Justin on future projects, too, and would highly recommend him to musicians looking for a recording studio for acoustic and/or traditional music. When we're working with him, it's quite obvious we're getting the benefit of his considerable experience. He's great to work with. He has a great ear and makes us sound great! I always look forward to the drive into the mountains to his studio. Make sure to give him feedback early and often about headphone mix. The best listening in his studio is through his monitors. He has enough complete isolation to accommodate 3 players at once. His studio is well built, and the environment assures you will have a nice, quiet "floor." Definitely recommended.
