Brian is amazing and so knowledgeable about many different genres of music. During the session, Brian made sure that our son could listen back to what he had played and continue to record as many times as needed. Hoping against all odds to find a legit recording studio within driving distance, I went online and…read morescrolled a short list of studios near me. Panda Studio's website revealed a recording environment with equipment and staff that appeared to rival what I had used in the North Bay. I rolled the dice and booked sessions to record an album. Ryan Palma, my engineer, was technically and musically proficient and didn't waste a minute finding the sound I was looking for. My album was recorded, mixed and mastered, all at Panda! I chose Ryan Palma from the list of engineers affiliated with Panda Studios in Fremont CA based on his online bio. I needed someone familiar with a wide range of genres as my influences include pop, rock and R&B from the 60's to now. I consider Ryan a local genius for recording, mixing and mastering music. His technical expertise and musicality turned problem solving into a cake walk for finding the sounds I wanted. I plan to hire his services for my next album.

Making music at Shine On Studios in Oakland, CA is fun! Take it from someone who has worked with…read morethis guy for decades. This review has been a long time coming. No matter what I say, I cannot do Shine On Dave enough justice. I met Dave 20 years ago, I'm guessing it was a Craigslist ad. I was building a recording studio in my home and needed guidance. Dave became that beacon. Since then, I have visited Shine On working with various projects many times over the years. As someone who is a 30+ years experienced vocalist, I have watched Dave grow for decades. He is and has always been, as far as I could see, completely dedicated. Dave's passion of being a well earned award winning recording engineer and studio is why Shine On Studios was awarded as best recording studio after many years of growth. I have witnessed him building 1st hand and his success is from hard work, taking on any project he could get in the early days. He can now pick his jobs as he has paid his dues many times over. If Dave is recording you, you must have something real good. Dave has established an awesome pro studio in Oakland. The sounds he is getting are great. The amps, mixing board and most importantly, Dave's ear are all excellent. Dave's interest in offering a comfortable working environment is obvious. The couches, his attitude and studio sounds are 2nd to none. Thank you Dave and Stef! You make a great team...

The location is nice as well; it's located upstairs in a quiet business center so you won't get street distractions (windows where people would stop and stare at you or cars honking) as I've seen in other studios. Price is reasonable as well! Looking forward to record more in the future.
