It was only because of this reverse mortgage that our mom was able to live happily in her own home for 50 years until she passed away at the age of 89. When our mother passed away, we wanted her house to go to my sister, who had lived with and taken such good care of her for seven years. The trick was figuring out how to do this. The problem was that we couldn't afford to purchase the house and had no idea how to make the situation work. EVERYONE told us to sell and use the money to buy a condo. This was our childhood home, and we had an emotional attachment to it. We couldn't accept giving it up to live in a condo. Thanks to a referral from a friend who sang Louann Davis' praises, my three sisters and I met with her. We immediately felt like we were scooped up into her care and that everything would work out...no matter what. During our first meeting, she listened patiently to our situation, position, wants, and needs, then went to work for us. She comforted us. She kept us educated and informed every step of the way. She advocated for us. By our second in-person meeting, my sisters and I felt like we were being cared for by a friend. She put all the pieces of a very complicated and challenging puzzle together so that my sister could get a reverse mortgage on the house, and now my sister and I can live in the home that we love for the rest of our lives. I can't imagine anyone else who would have gone to bat for us like Louann did. She went above and beyond, and I really do feel like we have a lifelong friend in her. Contacting Louann Davis at Pacific Oaks Mortgage would benefit anyone considering a reverse mortgage. You can be comforted by the fact that she will only advise what is in your best interest. I'm thankful every day that I followed through and called her. You can contact her at: PacificOaksMortgage.com/Louann

Unlike her previous two reviews on Zillow that were clearly written by two of her friends (notice the review dates are just one day apart from each other and from the same city - https://www.zillow.com/profile/jnelsonrealty/#reviews). I am a very experienced real estate professional that "used to be" in the highline car business for 24 years so I know all about negotiating and I am also highly trained in catering to the "affluent and sometimes demanding" consumer given the fact that I used to work for Porsche for MANY years and Porsche corporate spent thousands of dollars sending me to countless customer service seminars teaching their managers on how to treat people with respect, courtesy and most of all being non judgemental while at the same time giving the highest level of customer service. Ms Nelson needs some serious training on how to treat and respect the buyer !!! The following story is 100% true and accurate: I made a full price offer on one of Joannes listing in Thousand Oaks with a pre-approval letter in hand for a million dollar loan. The offer was as clean as they come in the RE business. During the escrow process I wanted to get a few bids for some cosmetic work that my wife wanted to get done as soon as escrow closed. On a hot summer day I went to the house after our full price offer was accepted and asked Joanne if I could possibly have a cold drink. Ms. Nelson gave me a dirty look as if I had asked her to take off her clothes. I mentioned that I noticed a few bottles of water in the SPARE outdoor refrigerator during my walk through and asked if I could have one. With a dirty smirk on her face she reluctantly said "...yes, I guess so." Then during my brief stay she accused me of letting the owners cat out of the house and then went into a total panic that the cat escaped!!! She frantically was looking for the cat, then I was told to start to looking for the cat, and the whole time the cat was hiding under the bed in the master bedroom. Once she found the cat she did not even bother to apologize for accusing me of reckless animal endangerment. She literally had a look on her face like I killed the owners cat on purpose or something?!? Then a week later I was back at the house doing some further inspections during the escrow process and this time I offered to leave a $2 bill on the kitchen counter for the owner if I could have another cold water from the same outdoor refrigerator. She then gave me the same disgruntled look and told me that the owner was "quite upset and bothered" that I took a drink last time and that she did not think that it was a good idea to take another!?! She then asked me, "...why didn't you bring your own water this time?" I told her that I was in a rush to get out to the house (I currently live an hour away) and that I forgot to bring one with me. She then told me that the owner would not be happy if I took another drink from the fridge and that I should get back into my car and go down the road to the market and buy my own drink! I could not believe what I was hearing. I asked her for clarification, "...you mean to tell me Joanne that I am buying a million dollar house from you for your full asking price and you (or the owner) would NOT offer me a drink on a hot summer day in Thousand Oaks?!??" I seriously thought that she was joking and I was waiting for her to laugh out loud and say something like "gotcha"! But she was DEAD serious on her reply "...if I wanted something to drink I should have brought it myself and to go to the market down the street and buy my own drink!" She didnt even offer me tap water from the kitchen faucet!!! This interaction with Joanne was just a small sample of how I was treated during the entire escrow process. This is how you train your agents to treat your buyers? I am a clean cut white collar male professional in my late 40's with no tattoos and drive a nice car and wear nice clothes...but she was treating me like a low life thug just released from jail. She continually made snarky comments about me, my contractors, and how she was going way out of her way to accommodate me for my "1 hour" long visit to the house that I was in the process of buying! She also found it necessary to brag about how LARGE of a house she lived in nearby and that she doesn't really have to work since her husband is so rich and builds movie studios for a living. What that had to do with me I have no idea. My wife and I loved the house, so we did not want to say anything that would upset her and possibly kill the deal...so I simply smiled, got in my car and drove down the road to buy myself a drink from the local gas station, and said thank you a million times for all of her "hospitality" on my way out. I was so fuming mad on my way to the market that I almost called my realtor and told
