Boy was I excited, a 2 bedroom apartment right on the waters edge for $175 a night... in Tin Can Bay... 2.45 hours drive north of Brisbane, feed the dolphins, how cool! Well, we drove left, right everywhere in this small town and couldn't for the life of us find the dolphin centre to feed the dolphins so gave up on that! I was super excited to hear this place had free wifi as well, which upon arriving there, realised we were one villa too far to receive the signal... when I advised Malcolm he told me well it should, and he isn't a tech guru so... yeah. Okay then. No free wifi like the booking said, bird poo on the deck table and chairs, hrmmmm... the 2 bed villa was nice though, full kitchen amenities, 2 toilets, one long double shower, a pool as well... and the view was spectacular. The view was nothing short of amazing at sunset, and this place is 40 minutes drive to Rainbow Beach, the closest beach. Oh and our sink pipes leaked.... not the best. So 2 stars short of full marks because it is the little things that make a stay memorable. No person to check out with just a key drop as well. Ideal for families who like to relax... there is not much to do or see. I recommend booking Rainbow Beach, although it is a backpacker hive there, there are more things to see and do... especially if you have a 4WD. read more
