I am a former employee of Tim's tree service. I'm also a recovery addict. I was working for Tim's tree service for a few months at which time I realized that was proven to be too high risk for recovering addict like myself due to the bosses of felonious activities on job site and on the way to and from job site. I was forced to resign for my own self-preservation at which time all of my climbing gear that I had in the work truck was kept from being returned to me hundreds of dollars of climbing gear and also my parting wages $100 short and after begging from begging and begging I finally got most of it back but the man still owes me I'm easily ten dollars in wages he refuses to pay. I'm strongly advise against using these guys cuz most of the time they're running around on the job site like chickens with their head cut off tweaking balls running back and forth to the hardware store for s*** we don't even need on the job none of the tools work correctly can't possibly ask for a job to be done correctly. And what kind of quality help can you possibly expect to get if you don't pay your help what you agree to pay them. And he thinks he's really funny guy but when he knows that there's nothing you can do about certain situations like when he has you over barrel. So my words to you Tim .... I'm a funny guy too. Well all I can say is they were nice guys. I hired them to take down a large tree. All brush should of been put in a burn pile I had near the cut site.all the other was to be cut into 17" logs and moved for me to split and stack. We'll at the middle of day 2 the tree was all down and 3 men were going to leave while the others finished. We'll like a dumb I payed them in full. At some point they left and didn't finish. The next 3 or 4 days I kept being told they will be back in the morning. They did come back one day that I only stopped home in between doctor and cemo treatments but when I got home in the late afternoon they were done and gone. Well very bad job. They dragged all the logs over don't think one is cut to the 17" like it was supposed to be. I will get some help here to get things correctly but I hope people will read reviews and not get taken like I have. read more

We hired Tim's to clean up storm damage to our trees. They discussed the scope of work, outlined what they would do for an agreed upon price, and then performed the work. They were unable to finish on the first day, but came out the following day and completed the job. Tim's did everything we talked about for the job, and did it professionally. The yard looks great now, and we are very pleased with the job. Reasonable price for solid work. Will definitely look to hire again. read more

We hired Tim's Tree Service and Yard Care on May 1st when they cut down one tree and trimmed another. It got late in the day and they said they would come back in the morning to finish the job. We paid them with a check and they never came back to finish the job. We also gave them a check for deposit on a strap to secure a third tree. Both checks were cashed immediately according to our bank, yet they still have not come back to finish the job. We have talked several times and they always say they will be there tomorrow. I would give zero stars if I could. Not only were they very late every time and very poor on communication, they have left me with thousands of dollars of damage. They went to cut a tree down in my backyard that over hung my storage building and a power line. They didn't have the rope on the tree high enough, they did not use a lift and should have, but it was too expensive for them apparently. When they cut the tree down, it hit my storage building hard, completely knocking off the front door and damaging several parts of it, took down my power line, which bent the mast pipe on the house, more than 90°, causing damage to the roof of my house as well as soffits. My utility company had to come out and disconnect the power because it was a fire hazard. They told me I needed to get an electrician before they could hook it back up. After that, Tim and Kassie left without telling me anything. I was afraid they weren't coming back. I called an electrician and this was on a Sunday evening, so it really cost me a lot. A little over $1,900. After the electrician went to go get the parts he needed, a couple in a plain unmarked car showed up at my house. A guy gets out wearing regular shorts and a t-shirt and asked me if someone needed an electrician. That just didn't sound right to me and it didn't sit well so I sent him on his way. Later, after my electrician comes back, so did Tim and Kassie. She was livid that I had another company out there and so she started yelling at him telling him that he was ripping me off and that nothing needed changed or replaced because I still had power when the line went down. She said that she was going to call my utility company and give them the what for. She and one of their other workers started taking my tarp off of my storage building and she tried to walk off with it. I ran after her and got to the front yard and told her that it was mine. So they were pretty angry and they shoved all of my brush off of their trailer left it in my front yard and left mad. I texted her asking what the plan was. She responded at 1:30 in the morning telling me that they don't owe me a penny and they're not paying for the electrician and then they tried to raise the amount that we originally agreed upon. I'm assuming that's because they claimed that they paid their electrician to come out and fix my stuff. They said that since I sent him away that they don't owe me anything. They were handing green flyers out in the Strafford area, so if anyone is thinking about going with them, save yourself a lot of headaches and go with Canopy man.
