My yard was way overgrown due to renters neglect and they came out with short notice and put me on their weekly schedule when it seemed everyone was full and couldn't accept new clients. 417 Mowing has been mowing my grass for a few years now, and I was getting disappointed with them until today. I might be a little picky, but it seemed like I could find something wrong with my yard every time I came home. There were grass clippings everywhere, they didn't weed eat some sections of the yard, or skipped my house entirely because I accidentally left my oh-so-threatening boxer with an underbite out in the backyard. However, I am so thankful to NOT have to mow the grass that I just let the irritating things slide. Today brightened my opinion of 417 mowing--they knocked on my door and asked if I would like to bring in my clothes that I had hanging out before they started to mow (they didn't want to get them all dusty). Plus, the actual mowing job was done efficiently and completely. Apparently it doesn't take much to make me happy, but today showed me that they are more than just minimum wage summer employees...they are thoughtful and careful, and I appreciate it! These guys are great, even with all the rain they have still managed to stay on schedule and keep my yard looking really nice this year. I appreciate all the work that they do and they are so fast and efficient then it's hardly even noticeable that they were here Until you see how good the yard looks. Called and scheduled an appointment for mowing. Shawn said they would do it over the weekend. I got back from out of town on Tuesday, and it still hadn't been done...and no phone call to tell me they were not able to do it. Left a message for him to call me on Wednesday. Finally called me back on Thursday and said sorry, we weren't able to do it. I cancelled any future appointments with him. read more

I give one star because it is the minimum allowed, I would rather give them nothing. I called to have my lawn mowed and they told me they could get to it over the weekend and after that it would be done each Wednesday. They did not now my lawn over the weekend. The following Tuesday, I messaged them to find what had happened. I got a reply stating either someone mowed the wrong lawn or someone marked off my lawn as being mowed by mistake, but they would be there the next day. And they did come the next day and now. Three weeks later and they have yet to return. When I messaged them again two weeks later to question why my lawn hadn't by mowed in two weeks, I was ignored. I tried being understanding of them due to all the rain we've had causing them to get behind on their schedule, but to flat out get ignored by a business when trying to find out what's going on, that is unacceptable to me. I would not recommend 417 mowing to anyone. read more
