I took my brown boots into Burnley Timpsons last week for a heal & sole replacement. The manager showed me a very pale pair of soles the colour of sloppy custard but told me they'd have some brown ones in early next week and the boots would be ready for Wednesday. Today is Friday, two days after Wednesday. I just visited Timpsons again to collect my boots. The boots had no heals on and the very pale custard soles I had specifically stated I did not want were roughly glued in place. When I queried the colour the manager said 'We don't do brown ones'. S-funny, you did last week! My boots had gone into Timpsons with replacement brown soles on them from the last time they were mended, yet the manager tells me Timpsons, the largest name in the sector, can't source brown soles!!!
