Wally and his crew came out on a Saturday early. We had a huge double cedar tree to come down blocking our view of pond. Gave us a quote and we said when can you start. Wow ! We were amazed they traveled that far and were ready to work on the spot.. They did a fantastic job and went over and beyond of trimming and cleaning up all the mess from tree. Wally even carved me out two flower pots from the leftover tree stumps. We did not want them removed.. Job well done! Thank you Then I asked if they could come back and trim a bunch of cedar trees and others to let the sun in and clean out all the over growth of 30 plus years out from underneath the trees, a pretty big area. . I strongly advise against hiring Dodd's Tree Removal in Cheboygan. My experience with them was…read moredeeply disappointing and costly. Without my permission, they drove a heavy truck across my yard and directly over a concrete pad meant for a gazebo--cracking and rendering it unusable. Any experienced contractor should have immediately recognized that the pad could not support that kind of weight. When I attempted to address the damage they caused and seek a reasonable resolution, I was met not with accountability, but with hostility. Instead of working with me to make things right, they responded by threatening to fabricate additional charges--even though my original invoice had already been paid in full. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it's unethical. Contractors should be transparent, respectful, and willing to take responsibility for their mistakes. Sadly, that was not the case here. Please learn from my experience and take your business elsewhere. There are many reputable tree service companies in northern Michigan--Dodd's is not one of them.

What a crew! Alex and Tracy work wonderful together and are very professional and did a very…read moredetailed job between them! Hot d**n! It was so much fun to watch them preform! Alex cut these trees like it was nobody's business using one hand on the chain saw and one on the tree while in the bucket! Talk about skill and strength! You should see him work his magic with that 60', articulating lift! This bucket, high rise, equipment is very new to the business and when there is no room to 'fall' a tree, it's cut down where it's standing. What a show to watch! If a branch that was cut, fell into one that wasn't coming down, Alex made sure to pull it out and drop it to the ground. Then enters Tracy! He got limbs and lumber put together in their piles and then drove over with 'the claw' and picked them up like they were toothpicks! No sweat here at all! He moved not one but sometimes 3 to 4, logs along with branches in 'the claw' through the woods, driving backwards, and turning 'the claw' to miss any trees that he passed by in order to reach 'the jaws' (aka chipper). Oh, my goodness! Talk about two very talented, hard working, conscientious, outgoing bad a** men!! And here I asked them if this job would take 2 to 3 days and was told by Alex that it would be done today and by 2 pm but could be down by noon also!! "No way!", I exclaimed. Please don't rush it in case of injury, thus the 2 pm". Plus, we asked questions about what they were doing, therefore, made it longer for them. But! How interesting it was and just loved the education! Lance Williams, owner, showed great appreciation for his crew and kept his word with the estimate that he quoted us and even did some back-pack blowing. The whole crew cleaned up after themselves too! Now, how many contractors that you're aware of will do that?! This Williams Tree Service is fantastic and reasonably priced for the 9, thirty feet, with one being fifty feet, tall trees they took care of for us. We will be having them back in 6 weeks or so with another removal, of the same size trees, but asking for 13 tress to be removed this time. Sincerely, highly recommend! Todd and Peggy Turbin
