While on hold the doctor came in and said he'd see my husband if we could be in the office in 15 to 20 minutes. Luckily, we were already driving to the area and we got there in less than 10 minutes. He was taken back immediately. He had a prescription and an appt for first thing the next morning in about 30 minutes. The staff was so friendly and helpful - it was a great experience. I took my mother for a vision exam , Dr. Lane wrote down the VSP VISION Insurance information I had…read moregiven, the eye exam was not done very thoroughly and was kinda stupid actually. She said my mom needed full bifocal lenses glasses. He told me VSP wouldn't cover the lenses and frames because they considered it a luxury glasses, that was a big lie, because I called VSP and asked them. My mom was not supposed to pay anything out of pocket for service, exam or for lenses or frames, but Dr. Lane charged my mom $240.00 out of pocket for the lenses and frame plus vision exam . My mom payed down $140.00 it was over 2 weeks and he never called my mom to tell her that her glasses were ready for pickup. I had to call him on March 7, 2023 to find out . He said they would probably come in later that afternoon, they didn't he didn't call, I called him back next morning and he said he had them, could we get there before 12:15pm because he had something important he was closing up the office. I don't recommend Dr. Lanes Payless Optical in Sevierville TN and highly advise against anyone going there for a vision exam or glasses. He want refund you any money back and he will not use any vision insurance. He's a liar and takes advantage of his clients!
