They tried to push an unnecessary deep cleaning on me--even after I confirmed with my insurance (Humana) and my sister-in-law, a licensed dental hygienist, that I didn't need it. She personally reviewed my X-rays and said there was zero justification for that level of treatment. Despite this, the office kept insisting I needed it, then manipulated the billing codes to group procedures in a way that would force me to pay more out-of-pocket--even though my insurance covers 70%. When I called Humana, they confirmed the office was submitting things incorrectly. But instead of owning up to it, the staff tried to blame the insurance company and act like they were "just trying to help me save money." That was a lie. I wanted the office to send an appeal. They did not do that. They kept saying I desperately needed it but if I did then my insurance should have no problem covering it. They did not provide sufficient proof/evidence for the claim to be approved. It just didn't make any sense to me. I chose to text as a form of contact so I would have receipts of the conversation in case anything happened and I'm glad I did because when I re read everything it's just absolutely ridiculous how they handled the situation and how they dodged so many of my questions while I was trying to gain clarity. This place is predatory. They rely on patients not understanding billing codes or questioning treatment plans. It is so important to understand what your insurance covers because places like this will do everything in their power to make you pay up front and tell you insurance will cover it later. Then you'll realize your insurance will reject the claim snd you're out $500 of your own money. The whole experience felt like a setup to squeeze as much money as possible from me under the guise of "care." Do yourself a favor: get a second opinion, talk to your insurance, and run far away from this office. They are unethical, dishonest, and absolutely not looking out for your best interest. Also I want to mention if you look at the other 1 star review, you can see the another person having the same exact issue regarding the deep cleaning. I couldn't believe it.

This was the fastest cleaning I've ever had in my life. It was literally 15 minutes. lots of buffering and spitting. Tbh, it wasn't very enjoyable. I know most dentist appointments aren't. Thanks to him, my braces journey has been a lot more smoother, and so has my oral health. I remembered the months before I had my lower ones removed. I remembered eating eggs and hash browns at my school for its breakfast program, and the eggs, hash browns, and ketchup would get stuck in the lower wisdom teeth parts because of the flaps, and it would make my breath stink af. It would also worsen my oral health a bit even after rinsing it out. I would also love to thank Dr. Ravi for making my wisdom teeth appointments at an appropriate time because when he removed my upper ones, they were on a school weekend and they were a breeze to deal with in the aftermath. But with the lower ones, the authorization came out at the appropriate time after I graduated from high school. So that means I can lay in bed all day long and recover. I'm also glad that Dr. Ravi and this business was near my house so that I can get my lower wisdom teeth, which were burdensome, removed so that I can enjoy my life more easily. She made sure I was comfortable the entire visit and listened to my concerns. She is knowledgeable and does great work. I had to have multiple fillings since I have not been to the dentist in years. She knew what she was doing and I trust her using sharp object in my mouth, unlike my previous dentists. Some notable things about her is she is great at giving injections for numbing, does through cleanings, and does not put more pressure than necessary when working on my teeth.
