If I could give negative stars, I would As a mom of three, I rarely get time for myself, so I was really excited to try this new salon--but it was a huge disappointment. Jess my hairdresser showed up late, spent time in the back chatting instead of starting my appointment, and was dismissive when I explained what I wanted. She kept stopping to help others, eat in the back area, and socialize, making the whole experience feel unprofessional. If you book with her, just know it's on Jess's time--not the client's. I even left with wet hair and chemicals still in it. Overall, very unprofessional and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend booking with Jess. read more

It's not a posh salon with chandeliers and expensive finishes. It's a simple salon with honest, hardworking stylists who know what they are doing and I loved it! The 2 stylists are BFFs for years so the vibe is fun, positive, and no drama. I recently was in a bicycle accident and couldn't wash my own hair. I called Timi and she immediately took me in for a shampoo. I told her I was having surgery the next week on Tuesday. She told me to come back on Monday to have my hair washed. The shop is closed on Monday. This lovely person met me at her shop, opened it up and washed my hair the day before my surgery, knowing I wouldn't be able to do it myself. This selfless person is a shining star in my eyes and I'm happy and proud of her as a Livermore business owner. Kudos to you lovely lady..I wish there were more stars to give her. read more

After several of my friends mentioning Timi's salon to me I decided to give it a shot. I called barely 2 weeks in advance, was able to get the appointment I needed to fit my busy mom schedule. The location was a bit tough to find at first as I'm not familiar with the area, but once I did it was a piece of cake, with plenty of parking available on a Saturday morning. The salon is very well appointed, nice and clean and comfortable. Everyone seemed very professional and personable. I'm very picky about the way my hair is cut (short hair) and after Timi cut it, I had absolutely no complaints. She listened to what I wanted, she looked at the picture I brought and did exactly what I wanted. I'm a very happy customer and will most definitely be a returning customer of Timi's! She was also very fast and well priced. I think next time I'll even squeeze in a manicure! read more

Tony has been giving me excellent haircuts for some time now, and always gets it right. He even did a great job on my wife's hair, (my wavy-sandy-grey Vs her black-straight) I point this out because the cut and style of these two hair types could not be more opposite, yet he does a great job with both. While getting my hair cut, I noticed that each of the men and woman that walk by after getting their hair cut by owner Timi all look great, whether it be an older Caucasian woman, or a young Hispanic man - both stylist seem to handle whatever type or style of hair that comes in. Timi's has a new, loyal client. It took me a while to get up the nerve to try a new place to cut my hair. I'm very low maintenance; all I needed was to trim off all the split ends. The woman who cut my hair (I think Rebecca?) made me feel completely at ease about trying someone new (which I told her) and she gave me a lot of helpful tips for taking care of my hair. I went back a week or so later to get my eyebrows waxed and the woman who did so (I think it was Timi?) was amazing. Not only was she really professional but she also made me feel relaxed. I live on the Peninsula and I find that Timi's salon is definitely worth an hour of drive each month. Niki has been the most amazing hairdresser and cosmetologist I have ever met. She was recommended to me after my hair color was totally messed up at an expensive, high-end hair salon near Palo Alto. I asked her to try and restore my natural hair color after this incident, and she has done a more than perfect job meeting this difficult request. Not only did she satisfy all of my (rather high) expectations, she has also surprised me with a fantastic haircut and beautiful curly style. We have known each other for several months now, and I am absolutely comfortable letting her do whatever she envisions to my hair, use any products she recommends. She is remarkably knowledgeable despite her young age, and will carefully think through each procedure you ask for, to perform it in a way that's best for you. In addition, she does the most fantastic facial massages and gorgeous makeups for special occasions.
