I'm not sure when my love for ALDI began but I know for sure that my three friends James, Lupe and…read moreBrian know about my semi unhealthy addiction with ALDI. I was hesitant to write this in a review, but I have to tell you a totally embarrassing real life all the experience that has a nice ending. I don't know about you, but I never return items whether it's an Amazon dress that doesn't fit right or a grocery store impulse buy, I never return things. But during my regular video call with my Bestie Melissa this morning I was anxious to eat my specialty Aldi CARA sweet and juicy orange during our call. But as soon as I opened the orange, I noticed it was super dry and almost underripe, but past due at the same time. I thought: wait a minute what is this? This is gross. I tried to finish the orange, but it was just so dry and nasty. I thought there's no way I'm gonna be able to eat this bag of oranges that I just bought, as opposed to the amazing fresh cherries that I also bought. So here it is: I grabbed my reusable tote bag, put in all of the oranges that were already on my kitchen's fruit tray and wondered what would happen if I return them. I didn't have the mesh bag with the tag, but I have the receipt so let's give it a whirl. I'm in the car and thinking I can't believe I'm returning oranges but let's check it out. I deposit my quarter and get my cart, and upon entering the store, I noticed that there's no one in line and there's no cashier at the check stands. But what's this I see? . I see a lady head toward the checkout lane and I beat her to it. Did I cut in front of her or was she looking at other products? In the back of my mind I was anxious about having cut her off so now, I'm feeling rushed. Damn. I tell the cashier that I've never returned anything but I'm going to return these oranges. I showed him the receipt. He asked for the tag and I told him I already threw it away. He starts to do the return and I tell him should I get my replacement and he says don't worry it's going to be the "twice as nice". I'm not sure what that means, maybe some ALDI guarantee which apparently it is a thing. As he is pushing the buttons on his register, suddenly the cash register seizes up and repeatedly beeps at any user input. He calls for back up, they arrive, but are unable to clear the beeping and computer cashier machine installed. I glanced down the line and it is now full of at least seven people all looking at me. Gahhh!!! I am mortified and I want to pee my pants. I had already apologized to the lady. I cut in line and she said sweetly don't worry it happens. But that's what someone who's annoyed would say. I take a deep breath. I put my hand on my neck and I look over at the checker and he is doing the same. We are both squinting our eyes watching his backup lady try to clear the machine. Omg. This is not happening. It is silent. No music, no talking. I feel all the eyes on me. I am embarrassed that I am trying to return oranges and look at what it's doing. It ends up that yes Aldi has a store policy where if you're unsatisfied with a Aldi brand product you can return it for your money back and a full replacement. So I got my fresh cherries and hopefully did not interrupt everybody's afternoon. But Aldi, damn I love you even harder.

I asked if that was company policy and where does it state that on any cvs website. Melissa on the other hand handed me my belongings and said this is my store I make the rules, if you don't like it go to Walgreens. I am a store manager myself and I know that's NOT how you talk to customers or handle a situation. She should be demoted back to cashier to learn how to talk and interact with customers. P.S I had no problem creating my cvs account. It's the attitude and refusal to help me is what got you this review. Have a nice day !

CVS has never been known for service. But as companies continue to remove the main thing that sets…read morethem apart from online shopping, in-person customer service, the reason for going there becomes less and less apparent. It is rare to find someone who works there and although they are a little helpful no one wants to dare check you out. Soon, we will be asked to clean the store and stock the shelves. My last visit there found that not ONE single person was on the salesfloor. Not even at the register by the front door. No one. Nada. They carry far less than a Walgreens, which is trying to emulate the CVS format, so its easier and almost quicker to order from Amazon. I know that CVS has given up on its drugstores for their other two businesses but man, just close them if you cannot even man them with one person. Dissappointed.

I stopped in with a friend in town who never experienced this place and they were amazed. From the world's largest car wash to a wall of jerky. I received a Buc-ee's dog leash as a gift, and the very first time I used it, it broke. Luckily, I have a good boy and didn't run off, which could have easily turned into a dangerous situation. For something as basic as a dog leash, I would think the quality would be more reliable, and this clearly wasn't. I went back to the store looking for an exchange, not even a refund, and that's where things got super weird and frustrating. I was told by the Manager Miah that without a receipt, nothing could be done. But, in the same conversation, she told me the item would also need to be in "resellable condition." .... HMMMMM.... wait, that doesn't make much sense. Let me get this straight, if the product is defective and broke on first use, how would it ever be resellable? BUuuuuuut if I did have a receipt, suddenly the broken leash is acceptable for exchange? The logic just didn't add up. Miah then insisted on stressing "store policy" and that she could lose her job for making an exception. But isn't store policy to satisfy your customers and provide them with an experience that makes them want to return. That's hard to believe that taking care of a customer over a clearly defective $20 item would be a fireable offense. Come on guys, where is the use of basic common sense. The most disappointing is that I've been a loyal Buc-ee's customer. Every year before visiting family overseas, we spend $100's of dollars on Buc-ee's merchandise, snacks, and gifts to take with us. It's been a tradition, one that ended today. Completely shocked that a company valued at over $2 Billion would choose to stand firm over a $20 defective leash. How about you guys do a better job training management to handle situations like this with a little flexibility and customer-first thinking vs. scaring them into losing their jobs, which loses customers! I used to enjoy shopping at Buc-ee's, but after this experience, I def. will not be back!
