The Vallejo Times Herald is a newspaper that covers Vallejo, Benicia, and American Canyon. Because I own a loft in Vallejo, I try and stay informed about the happenings around town to see what new developments are being talked about, see how things are going with construction on Mare Island, see when and how much they raise the ferry rates by, that sort of thing.
For news about the 707, The Times Herald is a wonderful newspaper and I read it a couple of times a week online at www.timesheraldonline.com. However, I can't fathom anyone attempting to get all their local *and* world news from this one newspaper. In fact, the thought alone gives me shivers...
Up until now, that deserves 4 stars. After all, if you're buying the Vallejo Times Herald, you don't give a shit about world news. It's evident that they don't have the resources of San Francisco, Los Angeles or New York City.
What really pisses me off, however, is their pathetic excuse for newspaper delivery. Back when we were still residing in the 707, we actually tried to get the newspaper delivered so I could read it on the ferry on my way to work. The incapable buffoons were incapable of finding my street address. We finally canceled after 2 months and many promises by customer service that they would resolve the problem. These guys need to fire the delivery driver's ass and hire somebody a little more competent. Other than that, I like the Times Herald... it reminds me of home sweet home. read more
