The space was clean also, which is nice because you walk around in socks as a spectator and a participant. The virtual jumping game was something I haven't seen at other indoor parks. I've seen virtual games but not like this where they had an image of the jumper on the screen, it was really cool. I could definitely see having a birthday party there because it accommodates plenty and they have decent food.

The long stroll through the park to the museum is beautiful. A whole additional aspect to explore on your outing since admission to the park is included in visiting the museum and vice versa. Con: the walk through the beautiful park is LONG. Pretty, yes, but not the most convenient if you're toting multiple kids and all of their gear. Pro: the museum itself is compact and concise and has both indoor and outdoor exhibits. There's been different things each time we've been there and it's not overwhelming in terms of things to do. Con: it's compact. The interior portion is small, like just one room. Yes some cool stuff in there like the scarf chute, a grocery store, and a slide, but it's smallllll. It also appears to house the staff's fridge and personal space area. Not certain on that but that's what it looked like to me. And while there were multiple staff members standing around chatting with each other, we had no interaction with them. Overall my toddler daughter has thoroughly enjoyed herself while here and I think it's worthy of a visit, especially if you take some things into consideration. In particular I don't think this museum would be very fun to visit in the summertime with the long walk and the small interior space.

This is not a place for older kids, and it can get extremely busy all of a sudden. When they do get busy they often do not have enough staff to man the front counter and the stations, especially the climbing area, which causes long lines slows down participation big time resulting in wasted time. Often during spring break there was only one staff member running that whole climbing area. One thing that I cannot stand as a parent is that they require you to purchase and wear their propriety grip socks. C'mon. Grip socks are grip socks and we have a whole drawer full of grip socks from different places we've been over the years. I've never been to a place where they care which grip socks you are wearing. But if you can't find their branded socks for each kid and adult then you have to purchase another pair just to participate even if you have a handful of viable grip socks. The only mention of it online is when you go to book a date they through it on the screen all of a sudden. It's says you have to have wild Katz grip socks but doesn't exclusively say you can only use their socks. It's just dumb. Lava Island off of River Road and Orange Grove does not have that policy and is also much more suitable for both older and younger kids! This would be a solid 4 star place for younger kids if not for the hit or miss staffing causing lines and the grip sock nonsense!

There are tables to sit and hag out, a concessions/snack stand and various interactive indoor activities, such as scooters, a cozy corner that is like a little library with books and couches, digital art and S.T.E.A.M. interactive exhibits. Outside they have the adventure playground that is really incredible! It's also a non-profit with the goal to create a space that serves the whole community. Their big picture, long-term plan is amazing. I have a four and a one year old and there are so many things for them to do. So many different rooms to explore: there's the transportation/public service area, with a car, a police motorcycle, and ambulance; there's the desert section all about our special Sonoran desert; there's a train room, a grocery store and kitchen, a vet area, a whole science based room, an art room, and a room exclusively for kids 5 and under. Plus there's a whole outdoor section with bubbles, a digging area, a music garden, and a small playground structure. I'm probably forgetting some things too--there's just so much! Not to mention an excellent gift shop. Each time we come we rarely do the same thing, since there is so much to explore! Truly a gem for our community! It's on the smaller side, compared to the Heirloom Farmers market at the Rillito Race Grounds, but I prefer small. It's easier to navigate and less overwhelming. Even though it's smaller, it doesn't mean the selection is limited. You can still shop for fresh veggies, fruit, produce, personal care items, dried goods and more! This is a great way to shop small and find new businesses to support! The Steam Pump Ranch a historical site and pre-COVID era hosted events pretty regularly. It's a neat place and the views to Pusch Ridge are beautiful. The farmers market is at rear end of the property. Parking is on the front end of the ranch and there's plenty of it!
