Since we would much rather have her be a guest at our wedding and not working the entire day, we started our search for a day of coordinator that is fast to respond, detail oriented and assertive in time management. We were so happy and very relieved to have found Jenn of The Overwhelmed Bride! She was everything we were looking for and more. During our planning process, she was so fast in responding that we were never left wondering or worrying. She was very patient and helpful in guiding us when we were putting together our timeline and she was on point when getting all of our vendors commit to a time for setting up. We really didn't need to worry about any of the big or small details with Jenn at the helm. She even brought up great suggestions like having the families sit on opposite sides at the wedding so the groom's family can see my husband at the alter and my family can see me. On the big day, Jenn was very assertive in making sure everything is running according to the timeline laid out. She would usher everyone to where they needed to be without being too pushy. The decorations and all the small details were laid our perfectly and we're so happy that we had her on our team. I can't imagine doing this ourselves or really with anyone else. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is getting married!

First off, working with her was a dream. She was always extremely attentive when it came to communication, both via text and email. I don't think I'd go more than 24 hours without hearing from her, which is something rare now a days for some reason. Also, she breaks down prices concisely, which I really appreciated because there were no hidden fees or surprises when it came to the grand total. She also works with you from start to finish, scheduling an initial planning meeting (this took place at our venue) where she listens and jots down what you expect as well as adding her own artistic design/thought. She even took charge and kept in constant communication with my venue manager, which took a lot of stress of my shoulders. The day of the shower, the dessert table was absolutely beautiful! The desserts were intricate, unique, DELICIOUS, and you can just tell she put in so much effort when it came to every aspect. I got so many compliments on this. I highly recommend Rachel J Special Events, Inc. for any and all occasions! She's just such a professional at what she does.

She made corsages, boutonnières and my bridal bouquet, as well as the florals and decor throughout the ceremony and reception. Alexandra didn't just plan a party--she anticipated every comfort and every emotion. From soft seating for our older guests to a timeline that flowed beautifully (with plenty of time for conversation and photos), everything was thoughtful, calm, and flawlessly executed. What impressed me most was her listening. She heard my stories, honored our family traditions, and translated them into details that felt deeply personal--music that matched our era, signage that was easy to read, lighting that flattered everyone, and a layout that made mingling effortless. Our vendors adored working with her; I could see how clearly she guided them while still keeping the tone warm and gracious. I never once felt rushed or overwhelmed. I simply got to be present.
