She has also cared for my son, providing exceptional scar management after an injury. I had an appointment scheduled for 7/17. When I arrived at the office to check in, the woman at the desk seemed to be fumbling around. After a few minutes she proceeded to tell me that they had no appointment for me that day and that someone called me to change the appointment for the 23rd. At that point, I informed her that I never received any calls at all either on my cell or home number and there were absolutely NO messages left on either. The receptionist was a bit snippy with me. I had the appointment card with me for the 7/17 date and time on it , held it up and showed her and then she insisted that someone called. I told her if they had, it wasn't my number they called. Anyway, I said I did not want to get into a further discussion and that I would get back to them if I wanted to reschedule. The receptionist at the desk was rude, never once apologized or said that they were sorry for the 'so-called mix up'. She was very uncaring and dismissive. I was shocked that she had no compassion at all and just wanted to get out of that office. Thinking it over on my way home, I made the decision not to go back to them and change to a new Dermatologist which I did. I notified them several times via text and then called them to inform them I was no longer going back to them. I finally received 3 calls back for a couple of different reasons and never once was asked why I was leaving nor apologize for the appointment mixup. I absolutely will not recommend Skin Wellness at all. My suggestion is that the front desk receptionists, etc, all get professional customer service training.

The service itself felt lower in quality compared to similar treatments I've had at other studios and did not come across as particularly professional. At checkout, I waited several minutes while the staff appeared very stressed and overwhelmed, which made me feel uncomfortable -- it's difficult to feel at ease when the people assisting you seem to be under that level of pressure. Anytime I have needed to make or reschedule my appointment over the phone, Jen, the receptionist, has always been very accommodating & helpful. They recently expanded into a larger office & they offer a lot more cosmetic treatments. The aesthetician Tami has been working with me through a micro needling treatment to clear up my acne scars. Tami has been wonderful since I first met with her recently however based on my history with all of her amazing staff in the past, I should not have expected anything less than a friendly & welcoming environment. After paying my annual fee, I was prescribed an exorbitant amount…read moreof compounded hormones, including vaginal suppositories, estrogen vaginal cream, E and P capsules, T cream, many of which called for application 3-4 times a day. While my E and P were tested after the first three months, she never tested my T levels. After five months, my T level was over 1500! ( for perspective, my 33 yo son is on T replacement....his level is around 850)! She maintained that it was impossible for my levels to be that high; it had to be a lab error. I stopped usually the T cream and went back the following week to retest the T. Even a week after, my levels from two different NATIONAL labs were over 700! While my side effects were severe and included cystic acne, aggression, mood swings, unusual levels of sexual desire, insomnia, and fatigue, such high levels for a women can be even more dangerous! Nit once did she apologize or admit that I was overdosed, continuing to maintain that that her staff, the lab, and even I was responsible for the test results! I left the practice after this horrible experience, and she did t even offer to refund the exorbitant annual fee that I paid! i do not recommend Dr Mel to anyone!
