Warning - Be cautious renting here…read more I moved out in November after living here for three ( Nov of 22'-Nov of 25' ) years. At the time of my move-out, I was not informed that I owed any additional balance. When I turned in my keys, I paid the final utility amount I was told was due ($60). Before leaving, I specifically asked if there would be any other charges coming later and was told everything was taken care of. In February, I suddenly received a text message from a collection agency saying I owed $414.33 for utilities and "insufficient notice." This was the first time I had heard anything about a balance. I was never contacted by the property or sent a letter beforehand, despite them having my phone number and forwarding address. The notice claim is also incorrect. I gave written notice on October 1, which is the date I was told was required. The office is now saying my notice wasn't given until October 30, but fortunately I still have my copy showing the correct date. Since receiving the collections notice, I've tried contacting the office multiple times but have not been able to get a clear answer. I'm continually told I need to speak with the manager, but the manager is rarely available when I call or stop by. The explanation I've been given is that management changed around the time I moved out. While I understand transitions happen, that shouldn't result in residents being sent to collections without proper communication or clarification first. So again, Please Be Cautious.. I do not recommend this place..

Their utility billing never has any back up yet their prices are unreliably all over the place. Current residents pay over 1200/month while new renters sign up for 899 or 999/month. 3 different management companies in 1 year & the women in the office change daily & all seem pretty petty. Does this seem like a relaxing place to call home?

From adding additional staff, management, activities, repairs and upgrades to the facility grounds, it is one of the nicest places for your senior family members to live. I'm proud that this place is in my hometown, Terrell, TX.

I'll cut right to the chase and give you the pros and cons…read more Pros: - Cheap with bills included Cons: - Worst management I've ever seen in my life. They changed hands twice in the time we were there, and we found out our contract wasn't even legal because they weren't certified to legally rent the apts out. (Told by city official.) - Dirty. Trash all over. Dumpster always full. They don't mow very often, and the outside of the buildings are starting to look pretty ragged in a lot of areas. - Terrible maintenance. The heat doesn't work in the winter, and almost nobody has working AC in their apartment. They don't allow window units, but won't fix the AC. We had problems with black mold in our unit because they wouldn't fix a leaky hot water faucet for months, and they fixed it by painting over it. Then they fixed the leak by just shutting the water off, so we couldn't use the shower in our second bathroom. The sink didn't work in our hall bathroom, the dishwasher didn't work when we moved in and it took them almost a year to fix it, then when they fixed it it leaked and flooded the kitchen. The garbage disposal never worked. Our fridge went out and it took them about 2 months to replace that, and they just brought one from an empty unit that was filthy. They redid the flooring before we moved in and it started coming up soon after. They painted the doors very crudely and most of them stuck and were hard to open. Several of the door frames were rotting and the doors wouldn't line up correctly. The front porch light never worked making a hazard walking up at night. Only 2 of the burners on the stove worked. I could probably go on, but won't bother. - We personally witnessed drug deals go down in the parking lot on more than one occasion. - Roaches. There were a handful when we moved in, and I treated for them and got rid of them for months. Then after Winter or so, they came back in force, and despite treating with several different things, they just got continually worse until we moved out. This is easily the worst place we ever lived. Finally things piled up enough and we had to get out. After all that, once we told the management we were moving out, he immediately went and filed to evict us. So add childish to the list of bad qualities. You can find videos online of the apartments because the news stations went out there several times covering different issues last year, and it only got worse. I'm only clicking 1 star because Yelp won't let you pick 0.
