Okay, so I'm not a hunter, I don't have a house full of stuffed critters, and I don't have many occasions to much care about finding just the "right" taxidermist. Having said all that... I coordinated a field trip for a bunch of home schooled kids many years ago to visit Timberline. Totally impressive operation! I was in awe, as were the children. This place is worth a look-see even if you aren't normally into such a thing. It's fascinating, and there IS a difference between good and bad taxidermy work. I was especially intrigued by how they handle rare and unusual situations. When we were there, a bald eagle had been killed (wrongfully of course) but it made its way into the freezer at Timberline and in due time would be a fabulous display of an awesome creature. I had a deer head mounted 15 years ago. Was a large three point that I shot through the back of the head and the bullet exited though an eye. They told me they weren't sure, but would try to fix it. They did an awesome job and it hangs on my wall to this day in perfect condition. I would recommend these guys to everyone who hunts and wants a mount. The mounts they had when I walked in were breath taking! My only problem was when I was handed a hat from them, they said "make sure you give this to your husband for bringing in his deer"!
