I have not had a problem with my pups following grooms neither physically or emotionally, so I have continued to bring them. However this time was the last time, undoubtedly. When I arrived to pick my Yankee up I was surprised to hear that their credit card system was not working. I do not carry cash on me and since I live so close by I left my phone behind when I left to pick up my dog. The girl at the counter was kind when she asked if I could zelle the payment when I got home, which I had no problem doing. However the "manager" (Chelsea I believe was her name), apparently didn't like the idea of that. She walked over with a nasty attitude asking me "what the problem was" and told me she would not be giving me my dog until I paid. Meanwhile my puppy was screeching for me and scratching under the gate. Obviously this was not a great way to approach the situation and I told her to call her boss to take my card info and let her know I will no longer be bringing my business there because of her managers treatment of me. She had a smirk as if she could care less, which is probably the case to be honest and that's just fine. And they don't know me or all the business I have sent their way that will also follow me after such disrespect. Such a shame. This place was really great until they started hiring these kind of people. Miss the old staff! I will be trying another place next month.

Despite living a 40 minute drive from Highland Kennels, we have been bringing our 3 pets here since…read more2007. The previous kennel was only 7 minutes away; however, they retired! All staff are very pet-friendly, caring for, feeding, exercising and cleaning up after our dog and cats. They have various site areas for pets and play soft music all day long, till bedtime. Grooming for our dog is a treat for us. She enjoys the attention and certainly looks 'sweet' when we p/u her. While we are on vacation, our pets are also being treated to love and kindness, on their vacation. Hands down, Highland Kennels is THE best facility, staffed by very caring and devoted people. Highly recommended! Just ask our pets! =)

They offered a tour of the facilities which where very clean and organized. We made a preliminary grooming appointment before the boarding and my dogs were treated like royalty. They did a great job grooming them and keeping them comfortable while they were in their care. Their prices for grooming and boarding where very competitive. Truly appreciated the peace of mind to know that they are so dedicated to their business and the pets and pet parents they serve. The grooming services are also very good.
