Tim Stefl Plumbing helped us out with several plumbing projects in an old house we bought in the Chicago suburbs. It was a pleasure to work with them. They were reliable, reasonable, and did excellent work. I highly recommend Tim Stefl Plumbing. read more

Always very good and reliable. Responsive to the matter at hand. Very nice staff. High reputation in Oak Park. read more

I'll give you the short story. I called them today, XMas Eve, because I had a leak and I had to turn the Cold water off. Will, and the office, called me back within the hour. Of course I didn't expect a call back today, but I certainly didn't expect them to come out. After making me laugh and easing my stress, Will said, "you can't be without cold water on Christmas." They came out and fixed the problem today! It brings tears to my eyes that a company would care so much! THANK YOU!! Merry Christmas! read more

Someone was sent out almost immediately and was here within 15 minutes of calling--sooner than the actual ETA. Ended up being a 2-person job and the 2nd person was out here super quick as well. They were tidy, very professional, and explained everything clearly. Thank you Pat and Matt. Big kudos to you. read more

He came and fixed a major plumbing issue at a very reasonable price when a competitor was going to charge us hundreds more and cause significantly more wall damage to get access. HIGHLY recommended!! read more

Hi, another great experience with Stefl plumbing. Loretta gives great customer service and Will, the plumber, professional and efficient. Thank you read more

Stefl has been servicing our condo building for a number of years. I find Tim to be very practical and not looking to arbitrarily come up with work just to make a buck. In fact he's talked us out of work that a different plumber suggested and explained why that work wasn't necessary. Loretta in the office is always cordial and very helpful. We had our unit completely rehabbed. As it happens, our contractor used Stefl for the plumbing work. In the course of the work, they discovered a leak in one of the common drains for the building in the course of testing out the new work in our kitchen. Somebody else insisted that there was no leak but Stefl's folks insisted that there was a problem. They turned out to be right and the building was able to get the problem fixed while our kitchen walls were open. Otherwise at some point in the future, we would have had to have had our dining room wall opened up and repainted. Bravo Stefl! read more

Have not had any problems- very good company. They came out and took care of the problem and were very honest by giving me options. I also appreciate that they did not treat me like a stupid woman due to me asking so many questions. read more

Tim is an excellent plumber! His work is well done, neat and organized. We have used him exclusively in the near west suburbs.

Responsive company, plumber arrived promptly. He also worked efficiently and cleaned up after himself.

Rude customer service! I called to get a quote and her tone was extremely unwelcoming and she seemed to be bothered when answering the phone. read more

Excellent plumbers. Very reliable and fair. I've used them at least half a dozen times at this point for projects big and small. Never had a poor experience. read more

Looks like a small victory but it's huge for us. Great job on the drain outside the basement garage. Second project for your crew and when we have a third, we will call. read more

We'd been dealing with one bathroom out of commission since moving. We'd tried home remedies to getting the sink and tub unclogged with no success. We saw Tim Stefl Plumbing was local and very close to our home. After leaving a voicemail, I heard back within a day with an appointment set for next day. Plumber showed within the quoted time and even offered to check on our toilet which was initially out of the intended scope. We had a working bathroom again within an hour and at a reasonable price! Would happily recommend and use their service again! read more

Highly recommend Tim Stefl,Inc Plumbing.I had Ken and Patrick over my house to replace a hot shut off valve to my washing machine and replace the traps under my kitchen sink.Patrick worked the kitchen job while Ken worked the other. They were through in one hr and did a professional job. read more

This company is very quick and gets the job done. We have called Tim before when our basement drain was not working. Today it was our sink and tub. They were fast and did get both tub and sink to drain quickly. read more

A delight to work with! We had repairs needed in our apartment unit - Loretta was great and worked to schedule us and was very communicative of the process and timeline. Matt was our technician and was super professional, thorough, and respectful of our space. I was incredibly pleased with this service and would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone! read more

$155/hour for one plumber and someone in training to be in my home for 1.75 hrs to fix a toilet leak in an old building, so nearly $300 total. The trainee continually needed to go out to get parts, which was why it took so long. The toilet didn't leak when they were through, but the toilet also didn't completely flush. I tinkered with the valve until I could get it working properly. Underwhelmed. read more

Are these people for real?!! Our kitchen sink was clogged big time. A family member who is a contractor tried rodding out to 50 feet multiple times without success. Not knowing that we had used them before, he independently recommended Stefl. My wife called at 11 a.m. Matt was here within a few hours. Matt had tricks up his sleeve. Matt, who was very professional and easygoing, worked his magic to solve our problem and then provided advice to save us from a recurrence in the future. Tim Stefl, "you da man!" read more

My go-to for plumbing smart, efficient and reasonably priced by the hour in comparison to other plumbing places I have used.

Used Stefl plumbing twice for different issues, both times their staff were knowledgeable, reliable, and polite. Highly recommended.

I called Stefl Plumbing after my kitchen sink wouldn't drain and needed it fixed ASAP. They were courteous, friendly, reliable and reasonably priced for an emergency call. Would highly recommend! read more

Very unprofessional!!! This company does services for my building hired by my building management. The plumber came in, found something in the pipe of the toilet and started accusing me of clogging the pipe! read more

Fabulous staff. So polite and speedy, they fixed the leak immediately. I will definitely be calling them again!

I have used Stefl Plumbing for several years now for my home and rental property. I gave them a five-star review in Feb 2019, but want to give another quick review based on today's visit. During two days of heavy rains our sump pump went out. I called Stefl at 9:30 a.m. and they had a plumber here at 10:00 a.m. New pump installed in about 30 minutes. As usual, a terrific job. Very responsive. Very pleasant - both office staff and plumbers. Reliable - always show up when they say they will. High quality work. Very efficient and neat. Highly recommend. read more

Ever since I got a new faucet in the bathroom sink, I've had trouble with clogging in the drain. I relied on handymen to unclog it. This time I called Tim Stefl Plumbing. Will did a great job in getting the clog out, and also put in a small part that lets me pull out the stopper completely, so I can clean it before a clog starts to build up. In 25 minutes the job was done. Excellent! Highly recommended. read more

Another excellent experience with Zak and Tim Stefl plumbing. My particular needs have included a new water heater, kitchen sink and toilet repair. Total pleasure to deal with. Totally professional. And a local business well worth supporting. read more

Kudos to Tim Stefl, he's great plumber and human, has always been reasonable but this one was above and beyond - I called when my kitchen faucet filter blew out and instead of coming over and charging to look at it he asked me to take pictures and email them to him. He looked at the pictures and recommended that I go to Elmwood Supply and ask if they had the part I needed to repair it. The gentleman there found me the part and gave me a detailed explanation on how to replace it - I was able to do it myself for $1.61 read more

Used them for 4 different residential issues from simple to more complex. Arrived on time; very professional, efficient and helpful. Will use again. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Stefl Plumbing in Forest Park. Jason has gone above and beyond to help us today. We just moved into our new house and had a few issues come up within the first few weeks. He has been here for 3 hours, but has another job that is time-sensitive. So he is coming BACK this afternoon to make sure the job here gets done. I am so grateful and now a very loyal customer! read more

After initial good service, I have been extremely disappointed. I have been trying to reach Tim Stefl for several weeks now and he won't return my call. I have called now 5 times. The office staff are pleasant, but the question is technical, and he won't return my call. I will no longer use them as this level of non-responsiveness is unacceptable. read more

Prompt response with nice, professionals. They explained everything, before during & after repair. Reasonable fee charged. Will never call anyone else but Tom Stefl Plumbing! They also wore appropriate mask & gloves. read more

We use Stefl Plumbing for our association and also for our condo unit. They are always punctual, polite, professional and the work is always done perfectly. I highly recommend. Just had our hot water heater replaced by them and our small laundry room and the original setup of piping, electric, etc. were a challenge to say the least. They did a beautiful job and remained so very patient and professional when I'm sure they probably wanted to scream! We are lucky to have them right here in Forest Park, I would recommend them to anyone at any time. If I could give 10 stars I would! read more

Don't use them if you want a plumber to show up when they say... or even on the day that they say... or even on the day that they reschedule to. Unfortunately our condo association uses these guys. They have a habit though of not showing up when they say they will. Usually they don't even bother calling to say they are not coming, you have to call them. On more than 1 occasion they have done this to us. This most recent time I changed my schedule to let them in and they called at the last minute to say they had an emergency call they needed to go and rescheduled for another day. I re-arranged my schedule of the new date/time that they could come back, and surprise surprise they did not bother to show up again. This time they did not call at all. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time that these guys have pulled this. AVOID them if you actually want a service professional who shows up. read more
