Years before we could even dream of home ownership, John was an excellent neighbor and he and his family became our friends. We were devastated by a surprise and no-cause eviction last year. Before home ownership was even discussed, John came over personally and comforted us. He was a sound board and wealth of knowledge. Our anxiety and fears were immediately eased and with information we could make action. Our timeline was very tight and once we figured out finances (directed by John), we were introduced to Jordan, and both he and John were right on it, not only finding homes, but helping us through the whole process. Teaching us what to look for, truly inquiring what our needs were and what we were capable of taking on. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for our needs went above and beyond our expectations.  And truly, in some aspects, both of these men became therapists for a short while! They wear many hats. Throughout the entire process, they were always available to answer any questions, address concerns, and offer invaluable guidance. Their knowledge of the local market was unparalleled, ensuring that I found the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood. What truly sets them apart is their passion for helping clients find not just a house, but a place they can truly call home. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring every aspect of the transaction went smoothly left us feeling supported and confident every step of the way. I cannot recommend the John McKay Real Estate Team enough!!! They changed our lives forever. If you're looking to buy or sell a home in Oregon or Washington, look no further. They are hands down the best in the business and will make your real estate dreams a reality!

Tim's years of expertise and continued training show that he continually strives to be better than he was yesterday. He was able to point out the siding on some homes and how it would retain water, causing problems later on--along with other great pieces of advice that one wouldn't know just by looking at the home or listing without an obviously trained eye. He also pointed out the good when we weren't seeing it as easily. Overall, I like that he didn't allow us to make immediate decisions on homes without further consideration. He also listened to what we were looking for, advised us on what would fit within our budget, showed us homes in the evenings and on weekends (on relatively short notice from us at times), and was a general pleasure to be around the entire time. In the end, Tim was able to advise us on what best to offer, got our first offer accepted, and made the process extremely easy. We know MOST REALTY AGENTS DON'T SERVE YOUR INTERESTS. We're glad we found Eldridge Huntington because he did. Spoiler alert: my husband Tom Corbett was a contractor and home inspector in Chicago for more than 35 years. We are very demanding buyers. We told Eldridge up front that we wanted to "DRIVE THE BUS." That meant we were planning to do our homework, select the houses we wanted to see, and use contacts that we developed rather than those that were given to us by the real estate brokers. We moved to Portland to be near our daughter and her husband. We already knew the general area we were interested in living in. Eldridge lives in the area and he knows it. He was helpful and courteous, and got back to us in a timely way when we wanted to look at something. He was able to insert terms into the contract that were critical for us. He patiently waited while we had a thorough home inspection, then brought in all the contractors we wanted to give us bids for needed repairs. He was committed to ask for cash back on items we found on the inspection and he did it willingly and successfully. Eldridge was helpful and courteous, even when we made requests that required advocacy with the seller's broker. He turned our wants to our advantage within the deal; the price of our house came down. We simply cannot say enough about this effective man and how his advocacy helped us. He is the real deal! There is no reason to work with anyone else.
