First and foremost, the staff were so nice and welcoming, tolerant of our stuttering French (and spoke English well). We tried the apricot croissant, butter croissant, blueberry chausson, and several choquettes. We sat at a nice clean indoor table and enjoyed our stash. The Long Version: My husband and I were driving from Ottawa to Laval and stopped by this bakery to grab a snack. Everything looked delicious, but we settled on a raspberry cannolo and a chocolate lobster tail pastry. They were $5.95 each. The raspberry cannolo was tasty. The shell was crunchy and the filling was a ricotta cheese filling with raspberries. The lobster tail pastry was even more delicious. One end was dipped in chocolate and crushed hazelnuts. The pastry was rich and flakey and the filling was a creamy chocolatey custard. The lobster tail pastry was larger and I feel it was more bang for our buck. They had lots of pastries including Napoleons and croissants. I had a chuckle when I saw that they had the French-Canadian pastry called Pets de Soeur because it translates to Nun's Farts. Lol. It's spiraled pie dough with butter and sugar. I'm actually not a fan of the taste, but I find the name hilarious. Anyway, they also have breads and pizzas, as well as savoury items like Arancini and Calzones. Staff were pleasant. I would love to return to try other items. They have free parking on-site. My favorites here are the cannolis, the lobster tale and also the sandwiches. I also love the cafe cream and the ice limoncello. This place is perfect to grab something in the morning but also good for lunch time and dinner. They also have a small eating area where ppl can eat the food that they order. For Valentine, I had their cupcakes: chocolate, vanilla. The chocolate cupcake was dry. The bottom of the cake was sticking on the cupcake paper. They seem to have changed recipe of their chocolate cakes. The vanilla cupcake was better, although not soft, nor moist. The frosting tasted like shortening rather than buttercream.
