I was going to order a Reuben Sandwich but then noticed the sign for a new sandwich called the Turkey and Brie. It was very good: a delicious sandwich. The coffee was quite nice too as there was no bitterness. They have lots of sweet things that are freshly baked. We tried the ginger snap cookie and it was excellent. Of course it was sweet because it's a cookie but not eccessively sweet. I think it was the best ginger snap cookie I've ever tasted. You can order take out, patio or dine inside. In the café the walls are decorated with a lot of paintings by, I assume, local artists. There is one washroom in the dining area. Parking on the street is plentiful. Would I come back? Absolutely.

We've grown used to the heirloom beans, light fresh roasts, direct trade ethical deliciousness at our neighbourhood place in Montreal (call us hipsters! we accept this!) And so when we found the beans at 33 1/3 we were just so happy. Roasted within a few days, beautifully brewed, light and full of the complex flavour of the beans, and served by passionate if surly professionals. The surly is the only reason I deducted a star, there's no reason to provide less warmth and care than places with shittier product. This is an unnecessary feature of too many third wave coffee places. Or maybe it was just a bad day. Bonus - there's a super delicious and friendlier small brewer on site serving up some super freaking tasty local beer, and giving generous samples!!

So as far as drinks go, I'd say it's all around mediocre. Not really that great, nothing to really complain about. The shop itself has sort of a hipster coffee shop feel but it's honestly this cramped little triangle where you grab your drink and then go sit in a mall food court. So much for ambience.
