We were in here a couple of times because it's right across the street from the hotel. But it's not exactly a "high tourist" sort of place and so the staff isn't especially proficient in English. Nothing that can't be solved with a finger pointing at the menu. Prices are reasonable. Beer selection is minimal.

"Poutine reflects quebec's religious history and it's respect for the holy trinity. Poutine has to have the 3 elements; The Father (patate), The Son (Cheese Curds), and The Holy Ghost (Brown Sauce). This place, La Bonne Patate, respects this socio-religious historical institution and the cultural integrity of Quebec's patrimon to a very high order with a vigour that is all too rarely demonstrated.
