The staff are very friendly and I had a good time chatting with them. The store is clean and well kept, and there is a really good variety of Russian groceries on the shelves, as well as some from Poland and Israel. There is also a frozen section including Russian ice cream and perogy dumplings, as well as a deli counter. The prices are good too, not too expensive. If you are wondering what to buy, I can recommend the Russian chocolates, which you can buy by the piece and are attractively wrapped in pretty papers. There is a whole wall devoted to Russian chocolates! Their baked goods and deli items also look delicious. They store has their own ovens and they do catering too. The prices are set by the top guys, so is the atmosphere, so are the recipes of the products. They really do make tasty food, but this one location just gets a failing grade for not being on the ball, and not giving great service. Repeatedly un-stocked items The cooks or employees are not checking shelves to see what's running low and what needs more. I went through the drive-thru once and went through a half dozen items, and each and every one was unavailable. At 5 o'clock? Really? That's not just bad timing, that's someone not paying attention out back. What makes it worst is that it happens all the time. Once or twice, sure. Things get backed up. I get it. But when it happens all the time, it's too much (or too little). Poor Service Cashiers are sometimes unaware when customers are waiting at the counter. On one one occasion I waited for 10 minutes while the cashier has her back turned to the counter and talking about her weekend with a co-worker. Understandable when they are helping another customer, or restocking, or who knows what else. Unacceptable when they are doing nothing and getting paid to ignore me. This is just lazy work on their part. Hopefully they catch these things more often, because it's pretty well the only coffee option in Fairview...
