On my first trip here I was dressed in regular clothes and she could tell I want from the area, which isn't the best area, and she gladly spoke negatively about the regular customers she has. 6 weeks later today I walk over in just shirts and an oversized t-shirt and not did she treat me different. She seemed highly annoyed and agitated on my first approach when I used my debit card for me purchase ($11.89). I got back in line because I forgot to use cash and get change. I got back in line and when I approached the window I started that I forgot my purpose of needing change as I pulled out a $20. To which she replied she didn't have change and if she has to give me $18 in change she wasn't going to do it, in a very nasty tone. My response was first find out what I need before you say what you can't do. So I made a purchase of $5 and some change. She was still very rude and I can tell because she thought u was one of the regulars who aren't so well off or has a drug issue. The was she handed me my change and bagwas as if she was disgusted. She squirted the have sanitizer in her hand quickly to which I responded to her, "Not everyone that walks to your window is a dope fiend." She responded, "Don't come back. Your not allowed to come back here." I'm told not to come back because I was treated shitty, but the man standing in front asking people for change got grade B service and she felt no need to sanitize. I witnessed her serve 4 people without once touching the hand sanitizer prior to our exchange. In the past when I've bought liquor and spend $40-75 she was very nice. I will catch an Uber or Lyft to go to a different store before I patronize this place my last 2 weeks here. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I asked for help choosing an appropriate wine and was steered to Steve. I told Steve my dilemma. I was looking for a Cabernet Or Merlot from Australia under $10. I was steered to Jacobs Creek wines from Australia. I chose a Cabernet Sauvignon 2019. According to Vivino, Jacobs Creek wines are bold and have a lot of fruit flavors. It scored a 3.5 rating at a price of $5.99. ABC price: $5.79. SOLD! Turns out I was the only guest who brought wine, and the bottle was empty in seconds. I went back to ABC and bought two more Jacobs Creek bottles: Another Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 and a Shiraz Cabernet 2021 (3.4 rating). Both were well received. Hats off to Steve and the staff at ABC who made me look good with a tasty wine at a bargain price.

This would result in twenty-minute trips over to Tampa (forty minutes round trip not counting the time spent in the actual store). It was as if my prayers were answered when this place opened. Also, I considered it supporting a local business, not fueling my alcoholism, which makes it a win-win. I don't cook. This means that whenever my friends have a get-together, I'm always in charge of bringing a drink. Therefore, at one point during football season, I was buying a handle of [insert gin, tequila, vodka] at least once a month so I could whip up some complex cocktail (we're talking hand squeezing fresh limes and pureeing watermelon. We aren't in college anymore). Even though this isn't the largest store, Feather Sound Liquor Store stocks all my cocktail needs.
