This is not your usual kitchenware store, they honestly have everything you can think of in the way of cooking, catering, or dining products. There is one aisle with so many different types of spatula, that I didn't know which one to pick!! The prices are very reasonable too. It's hard to come out with just the items you came in for.

Maybe it is because I…read moream just a little bit of a geek when it comes to home wear, but I love sifting through the shop and examining the clever storage devices and gadgets. Lately I have been getting excited about the weather stations, the solar chargers, the clever international multi-adapters, the shower radios, the city pop-up cards, the wall-mounted CD players, the wind-up walkie talkies, the fair trade cotton sheets and so much more. I will admit that I have recently been suffering from a huge obsession with anything even remotely Japanese and this has obviously played a huge part in my love affair with Muji - but it's just so clever I doubt many people could resist. Muji will definitely be one of my top shopping destinations for Christmas gifts this year.

Upstairs is a novelty stationers (although they do seem to have some useful items), come home appliance store, come knickknack store. Downstairs on the other hand is a clothing store, which is quite good for basic things like white shirts (which for some reason are incredibly hard to find), but if you want to be a hipster about town, you may want to think twice. My point is that there seems to very little sense of direction in Muji, as you can tell from the somewhat blasé customers it seems to attract. It's too small to accommodate the higher-class department store shtick (that torch obviously being held by places like Fenwicks... etc). Having said this there is a good clean atmosphere here, and it can be quite fun to look around... I just don't really know what I'm looking for when I'm their.

Perfect for sheets, duvet covers, mattress pads and all. The man who has helped me on several occasions knows US sizes vs British sizes vs European sizes by heart. But the real scandal is what is happening to this store, very sadly, I hear, that the proprietor has been forced to move out soon by big developers and Council to make way for another bland café. Another case of the greedy landlords, bullying Developers and Council treating the independent retailer like this one with complete contempt, and also for its loyal and new customers who frequent and love this shop. From housewares and apparel to bedding and even prepackaged food, this place has it all. This particular store is three floors. The first floor has candles, scented oils and aroma diffusers, cosmetic and travel containers, bath and skincare products, writing instruments, acrylic photo and document frames, and various travel necessities including packing cubes and suitcases. The bottom floor contains housewares such as cooking utensils, bedding, and even prepackaged food. The top floor had a small variety of clothing and apparel. I was elated to sign that this shop carried something I've been looking for for a long time: makeup blotting papers. As someone with oily skin, these are a necessity. Before departing for London, I checked all of my favourite cosmetics stores and no one seemed to have them in stock. Thankfully, the shop has plenty, although I would hardly think to look for them in a place like this. If you love writing instruments as much as I do, be sure to spend a little time with the writing tools. They have a wide variety of ink colors, pen sizes, and pen styles to fit every hand. There are even basic fountain pens and fancy mechanical pencils in stock.

If nothing else, I can be sure that the numerical figure that comes after the currency symbol will be less than the translated number in Yen. Le sigh.

We waited an age to find out when our order was to be delivered (after paying). They delivered at the wrong time and didn't phone in advance as promised. The worktops themselves split in places along the staves after a few months. Sorry, but I certainly cannot recommend this company or its products.

I happened to bump into this Lladro showroom on my way to Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly. So I popped in for a look. Rather worryingly, there weren't price tags on any of the goods - probably a case of 'if you have to ask, you can't afford it'. Nice stuff but I would have liked some idea of the prices
