Everything went great until installation. The prints for the island location didn't specify the…read moreexact location of the island. I instructed the installers to discuss the location with me before placing the island cabinets. They ignored my request and set the island in a poor location. Heather of the kitchen center, when the issue was brought up, promptly told me that I didn't tell them to talk to me before placing it (according to the installer's word) and that I'm out of luck because it "can't be fixed". She went on to tell me how she doesn't trust that I asked the installers to consult with me before placement, basically insinuating that I am lying. When confronted about that, she said, "just admit that you just don't like it and now want to change things", even though the prints given to the installers didn't have the dimension for placement in question. I've never had such poor customer service on a high ticket item. Extremely disappointed in Heather, her installers, and the kitchen center. Basically, once they get your money, they're done with you regardless of how things turn out. Go somewhere else in town.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Initially they come across as very professional and dedicated to customer…read moreservice and installation. We hired them to replace carpet with LVP in bedroom and office. As a company that touts 40 years experience, they should have clearly known there would be a major difference in floor heights, ie removing carpet to install LVP next to hardwood or tile. Never offered in their bid a 1/2" plywood underlay that would have made the floors much closer to even. Instead they left us with 1/2" to 3/4" difference in 3 floor to door levels and tried to cover it up with inadequate transition pieces that would not even fit. Even their installer told us he had warned them of this improper installation but was told by both the sales person Rachel and the office manager to install them anyway! Needless to say once they realized installer had informed us of this concern, they pulled him off the job and never completed the transitions. They had the nerve to insist the original incorrect transitions were installed completing the job and were coming out to correct the poorly installed transitions was a mere "courtesy". They refuse to honor any warranty if we have transitions properly installed by any other means. Actually, they have held our warranty hostage which is illegal. They have been rude and hung up on our phone calls and refuse any further service since we called them out. Also, they demanded payment IN FULL before proceeding with the job. When we told them we'd go elsewhere if we couldn't pay part down, balance after completion, they reconsidered. We are so sorry we didn't go elsewhere. Then when the transitions were horribly and incorrectly installed, they refused to come replace them until final payment was made! Rachel even suggested we throw an area rug over the transitions to prevent trip hazards. After having other carpet/flooring companies come look at this issue, the bottom line is Inside Story laid the floors "substandard" but legally acceptable, without the necessary 1/2" plywood underlay that would have made the transition areas more even. The transitions they provided were inadequate from the beginning and they knew that insisting their installers lay them anyway even though they DID NOT FIT, they refuse to honor any warranty, a warranty we never received, for $6,600 worth of flooring, major trip hazards now exist and we now have to pay extra for transition installs to another company! There are legal issues here we are investigating. Their website states "love your floor or we'll replace it ". HA! DO NOT USE INSIDE STORY FOR YOUR FLOOR INSTALLS!!
