My mom and I are on holiday and staying in Dingle for a few days. Today we went on a drive to see what was in the area and ended up in Ballyferriter where Tigh Ui Chathain and a few other businesses are.
We were hungry for lunch, so stopped in. Their menu is on some dry erase boards posted in the front. The bar itself is the darker dingy cluttered sort, so nothing really standout-ish.
We each had a Caprese Burger: with mozzarella, spinach, tomato, and mayo. It was probably the best burger I've had in a while! Though the Irish seem to cook their burgers medium/medium well with no pink, this burger was STILL juicy. The patty was nice and thick, and the bap (bun) was soft. The chips were also the best we've had anywhere - and my mom really dislikes thick chips!
I honestly never thought we'd find solid food in a pub, but these burgers were pretty top notch! read more
