JAY Construction is an excellent general contractor. The owner, John Y, is honest, knowledgeable…read moreand personally involved with your project from start to finish. During the planning phase, John invests a lot of time working with you to develop the best approach. Listen to his suggestions because he's honestly trying to get you to a quality end product within your budget that you'll be happy with. Once the scope of work is set, he writes a very detailed work proposal and contract that spells out exactly what materials and services he will provide - MUCH better than the average contractor and so important to avoid misunderstandings and disputes. Project pricing is reasonable in today's market. John's crews and specialty subcontractors do excellent work and John visits the job site frequently to ensure that the work is being done correctly and to make sure that you are happy, or to see if you have any questions. If you do have any questions or concerns, John addresses them immediately. In over 40 years of hiring and working with contractors of all kinds, I know the difference between bad, average, good and best. JAY Construction is in the best category and like all "best" companies, that distinction flows directly from the integrity and work ethic of the owner. If you are in Monmouth or Ocean counties NJ, I highly recommend that you include JAY Construction on your bidders list.

Brick By Brick Pavers and Landscaping Review by Sam Davidson…read more In May of 2020, I had Jerry and his crew at Brick by Brick do a project for me. The project was surrounding my pool with paver bricks. I have a large pool and a significant entertaining area around it that my family uses extensively. The work and the project were critical to our living and entertaining lifestyle. Jerry and his team were a delight. They delivered exactly what they said they would, plus more. The work was excellent, timely, and right on budget. I highly recommend Brick by Brick Pavers and Landscaping. Sam Davidson Samma565656@gmail.com

He designed himself and presented a new layout for the backyard. They demo-ed an old broken wooden deck and installed the new paver including a raised / enclosed patio area with columns and retaining wall, a flat open area, and walkways to the garage/driveway and the same matching pathway up the front of the house to the entrance and front steps. His team was professional, neat, and timely finishing the job with attention to detail and high-quality standards - even going above and beyond to make sure the landscaping looked beautiful for our family event. I will definitely work with him for other improvement projects on our property in the near future. Prior to hiring Jose, I evaluated several contractors, and pricing all being relative, but they did not have the wide portfolio of work and experience that Jose's team has which is evident when you work with them and entrust a project to them. This is important when it comes to the details that make the difference in end result looking polished (borders, spacing, curvature, landscaping, etc.)
