There was no litter and the bathroom was tidy. Interesting to see a local sheriff minivan stop in with three prisoners in chains. The cops checked that the men's room was clear before supervising them, reloading into the van and continuing on down the highway. I'd love to see a better turn at the entrance to slow people down and the return to the highway did not have a long enough acceleration ramp. But it worked well enough for me to merge without issue. I must have arrived after a morning rush before the cleaning crew hit the bathrooms, because they needed some attention. The employees were friendly and efficient at the counter. This travel stop has a dog walk park and an Arby's as well as an adjacent casino.

There really aren't that many Mississippi crossings so this one works well as a two-fer. It's a spectacular welcome center. I've never seen so many brochures. Hundreds of them, neatly organized into the different regions of Arkansas, because Lake Village is a gateway to so many other parts of the state. Free wifi, free coffee and clean restrooms. All of those things plus a great view of the Mississippi from their deck makes this a five star welcome center. Welcome to Arkansas, the Natural State!
