My check-in process was seamless, and the room keys are pretty cool: a keepsake game chip with the slogan "Our Team Is All In For You." I'm a die hard Alabama fan, but I kept the chip as a nice memento. The rooms are very spacious and loft like with a bedroom area, living area, and kitchen area. The kitchen area includes a large counter, sink, microwave and refrigerator...perfect for football Saturdays. In the morning, I dined at their in house cafe and opted for the apple cinnamon Clemson waffle. It was great! The only downside is that I grabbed a Sprite on my way out and it was six months expired. The staff was apologetic and kind enough to let me grab another option. In all, it's a great place and I'll definitely stay at The Abernathy during my next visit.

To make matters worse I go down to the front desk and the front desk staff tells me I'm sorry they have already taken the trash to the dumpster!! Wow!! Terrible customer service all around! Most importantly are the incredible people that make this place run so smoothly. I could go on and on about Tanner and Frankie, but literally everyone we met brought the same genuine care for making our stay special. The atmosphere was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. One of our favorite parts of the stay was spending the morning on the upstairs balcony, reading our books and enjoying the calm surroundings. It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and simply enjoy the moment. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to get a great night's sleep after a day of exploring and visiting with friends. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding and felt like a special treat. The Greek yogurt parfait was fresh and delicious, and the crème brûlée French toast casserole was absolutely amazing. The hashbrown casserole and bacon rounded out the meal perfectly, creating a breakfast that was both comforting and memorable. Liberty Hall would be an excellent choice for so many occasions, whether you're planning a wedding, looking for a romantic getaway, organizing a girls' trip, or simply wanting a peaceful retreat. The beautiful setting, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful hospitality make it a place you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend!

The only working outlet was next to the sink so we had to take turns charging...we had a room with 2 queen beds and both were pushed up against the wall. The fan in the very tiny bathroom was soooo loud! The AC was really loud too but that was a bit of a plus because it created a bit of white noise to drown out the noise from other rooms. Only 1/2 a roll of toilet paper and we had to go to the front desk for an extra roll. I lifted up the sheet to check for signs of bed bugs and really (really) wish I hadn't because the mattress was pretty nasty and stained. The comforter s on the beds have definitely seen better days. Other campers had trailers and cars parked alongside their campers. We drove to campus for the game, but they do offer bus service (I think it was the CatBus) so you don't have to drive. At check out we were thanked by staff who came alongside our truck to talk. They were very kind and genuine in conversation. I'll start this with a fairly basic rule of housing: old is fine as long as everything is clean…read more I've visited a lot places. Really. I've been to a lot of different hotels, and I haven't ever stayed anywhere that has made me feel this unsafe, unclean, and at risk for various infectious and incurable diseases. I ended up in this hotel on a trip with my sports team for a competition at Clemson University. Immediately upon arrival, all of us were struck by the exterior resemblance of prostitution fronts showcased in late night episodes of DateLine. After entering the room, we struggled with groping the walls for light switches over the span of a solid five minutes before finding the switch shoved into the metal jam between the wall and the other "wall." With the room lit, we discovered that the "wall" by the door overlooking the pebbled balcony, est. before the invention of concrete, was a bunch of window panes hastily molded together with tin. The curtain covering the window-wall was a rose-patterned sheet thrown out of the bad part of the 1970s, hastily tacked up to add the illusion of drywall, rather glass. I think my coach hit it flat on the head when she compared the three-walled room to a horror movie set where the director then finished the C-rated film and decided to call it a motel. The interior decorator obviously bankrupted the entire budget and left nothing to replace bed sheets, carpeting, or even wash the towels in the bathroom. The beds, on their own, are an entirely separate issue. I view myself as someone who can handle close to anything - except dirty beds. The comforter pulled back revealed two blood stains and cigarette burns. The sheets have yet to be pulled back but I would not be surprised to find hair, bodily fluid stains, and possibly a used needle or two. Sleeping on the floor might normally be an option, if the floor were not on par with the mattresses. The floor could be dubbed "stain-central," but that would imply everything was dry. The carpeted floor had suspicious stains ground into the Stephen King-inspired patterns, and only a few steps around had my feet feeling sticky. A quick walk to the bathroom and the biggest 'why' question of the night struck me: two sinks?? At least that's a bonus. A second-hand gauzy sheet of fabric that isn't even waterproof counts as a shower curtain. But who cares when you have two sinks? Who cares that there's blood on the sheets when you have two sinks? Who cares that the floor is probably crawling with a selection of STI's when you have two sinks? I would trade the two sinks, the ironing board, the gas-station inspired packets of body wash, and a 24" bubble TV for clean sheets, a clean floor, and water temperatures besides glacial and Satan's bathwater. All in all, we're looking for a different hotel to stay at.
