My air has problems and I asked them to check if they were afraid of any leaks in the system and they did not care about that problem at all and they only filled with freon and after 2 days it was already empty, I told them a thousand times to verify that everything is fine before Fill it up and it was worth it. Be careful with these people, they are cheaters and they are there every time they call you because at the time and they are only capable of doing it when they fill it up and they don't put anything.

This should be made known to customers when booking an appointment! In total I was charged for 3 hours of time & $30 for a piece of plumbing. Despite not knowing that I would be charged for their travel time, the calculation of how much actual travel time was incorrect. According to Google maps the time of travel from my residence to their shop is 19 minutes one way. I was charged for 1 hour because the technician "stated" that it took him 30 minutes to drive one way. The technician's time that he was present at my residence was also over estimated and resulted in a higher charge. The technician charged me for 2 hours of time but was only present at my residence for 1.5 hours. Lastly, the technician cut & added a piece of PVC pipe on the A/C drain pipe without my prior knowledge & consent. The scope of the work discussed was to blow out the drain pipe, ensure that the shut off switch was working properly & to check the level in the unit. I was charged $30 for a small piece of pipe that would have cost less than $3 at the hardware store. I am upset that I was overcharged and am not a satisfied customer.

Service call-Rent house #2, 5 year old unit: they said we needed a new one. I got smart and called another company. Sure enough, the other company changed out the power board which was under warranty and it didn't cost a thing. We also have a "Preferred Membership" (with Doug's) on these houses which we are supposed to get annual maintenance, no overtime fees etc. However, they do not honor the program, they did charge overtime fees and we have never had anyone call for a scheduled maintenance. To top it off, nobody will call back if you have a complaint and because they had my debit account info for a completely different house, they were able to take money out of my account to pay the bill I was trying to dispute. So my advise-Use a more reputable company that cares about service.

A thermostat that cost 80 bucks from anyone else cost 605 dollars from Doug's. They also charge 40 dollars for a fuse, 300 dollars to run a wire. I also got changed 2 service charges on the same visit. I got charged service charge for yearly maintenance and I got charged services charges on the same visit to change out a fuse.

Fortunately I had a 12000 BTU portable unit to cool part of the house that made it tolerable. They came at mid day, a couple hours before the scheduled time, the same day I called them. Jim Jr. said it was probably the capacitor, they were replacing them frequently. He took off a cover and looked at it and sure enough it bubbled out on the ends. It all took about 20 minutes. I was very grateful it was a simple fix. Their prices are great too. When Jimmy Sr. and his son hooked up my new unit 3 years ago I got to know him. He is a great guy with integrity and a big heart. I was grateful to the Lord I found them. I would recommend them for any heating and cooling needs. Very professional and experienced, they get the job done!

If I could put negative stars I would. Long story short I had a guy come out to fix a leaking…read moreshower. By the end of it all I was about to spend over $9000 to install an unnecessary new water heater for half the house. The shower still leaks, there is no hot water getting to half the house, and all the water was turned off at every point possible. We were told a manger would be in contact with us. We have heard nothing. To add insult to injury the last messages received were beyond unprofessional. I was rudely told that I knew nothing about plumbing and that all my requests were basically unnecessary. If I knew about plumbing, I would have fixed it myself instead of calling a "professional!"

If you want to be told we will call you first thing in the morning and get someone there, but not get called until 11:30 ( that is lunchtime not first thing in the morning, I already had the issue fixed by another company by then!) Do business with Doug's! What makes me angry is that in addition to their ridiculous service pricing, I paid 25% more for both of my ac units and my generator, because of how good the service was. I now have serious buyers remorse because the customer service that once made them great is GONE! This is my honest opinion!
