It's very hard to describe Tiger because it's basically just anything and everything and cheap and cool and WONDERFUL! Kind of like a mini Danish Ikea, but with more character. They have cooking utensils, dishes, candles, hand soaps/creams, imported cookies and treats, art supplies, picture frames...they have everything you want but nothing you expect. And did I mention it's CHEAP?!
Last weekend I went to the Southside Shopping Centre to see a film at the cinema there and arrived 3 hours early just so I could go to Tiger before they closed. So highly recommended. read more
I enjoy going to Tiger. It doesn't really matter which one as they are all entertaining.
Cheap products that are either entertaining or useful. You can really go wrong in finding a good gag or visually appealing decorative piece to put around your home.
The staff too are quite friendly and willing to help at all times read more
Without fail if I am stuck for a quirky gift for a friend tiger always delivers. Granted it is not the sort of place to go when you have a really fixed idea of what you want but if you are looking for something fun and unusual then you will find it here. Recent purchases have been lovely cards, whole peppercorns, bright coloured headphones, and a masquerade mask. I can't think of another shop where I would buy all of those items from and that is the beauty of tiger.
The layout as mentioned in previous reviews means that if it is busy you are basically queuing round the whole shop, but this is the way that I often come across the more unusual things so it isn't generally a problem.
Also a great place if you like crafty things, they have a big range and it is a good place to go for inspiration. read more
I also spent some time in this cute shop while waiting for a movie. Just like Joanna mentioned, it's like a mini Ikea. You just follow the path to look at anything from kitchen and bath items, office supplies to little toys that would be great gift ideas.
There were some enticing chocolate bars and waffles as well as interesting Scandinavian fruit juice at the end by the register. Each was only £1 :) read more
Oh, Tiger! How I love thee. Full of the weirdest selection of stuff: homewares, decor, stationery, candles, fancy dress, kids' toys, and seasonal/holiday items. Always worth a peek. The prices are amazingly low and the quality, for the price, is pretty good. A great place to go for those little somethings that you never knew you needed until you saw them. read more
