Chunky owner of the salon (blond lady) made fun of my hair while she cut it. Very strange and passive aggressive.

I took my daughter here to get her hair dyed and cut. The staff seemed polite and professional. She loved the cut when it was finished The only issue was the dye job. We were told the dye might not take because of her natural hair color which was dark brown. She wanted a lighter red color. When she was finished her color looked the same. When we returned to California we went to another salon and had her hair dyed and the dye job was perfect. The stylest told us that her hair needed to be bleached first so the dye would hold. Perhaps it is a different technique, but she got the results she originally sought. read more

Make sure you call for an appointment because they're always booked and for a good reason too. It's located in a cute little house off of Samford so it might be easy to miss since it resembles an ordinary home. I came here per recommendation of a friend, since I was always curious how her hair was always looked good no matter how many times she changed it up. I set up my appointment with Heather, and she did a magnificent job with my ombre. She was super friendly and we talked the entire time about girly things. It was wonderful how comfortable she made me feel despite how scared I was to color my hair. She even tolerated my indecision in canceling my appointment with her 15 minutes before my scheduled time and then took me back happily when I showed up anyway, and reassured me not to worry about it. The receptionist was wonderful, providing me water and making me feel at home. It didn't take very long for Heather to realize what my concerns were and what I was looking for even when I couldn't explain it with pictures I had provided. I was extremely unhelpful in telling her wanted, explaining it such as "I want something like this but not completely. She seemed to know exactly what I meant and my hair was taken care of and ready in 2 hours! read more

Great hair salon! i love the house it is in and my hairdresser Aury was everything and more! This was my first hair appointment here and two girls worked on my hair. they finished super fast which i loved and my hair came out better than i expected. Great reasonable price as well!! the parking lot is a little tricky to manage bc it is very tight but 10 out of 10 Tiger Lily salon is awesome. read more

I just got my hair done by Tina at Tiger Lily and it turned out perfectly. I showed her a picture of the color that I wanted. A balayage blonde and she nailed it! Very reasonable price too. I asked for a brow wax like midway through my appointment and she made it happen! I would definitely recommend Tina if you are new to the area. She is fun to spend a couple hours with and great with hair! She uses organic coloring as well which I love. My hair was super soft afterwards. read more

My daughter had an appointment with Heather to get a trim and a conditioning treatment, she stressed to Heather that she did not want more than a half inch taken off her length, even if that meant she still had some damaged ends! Heather cut off at least three inches, possibly more. read more

Tiger Lily is NOT EVEN WORTH 1 STAR. My daughter had her hair done by Madison. She came in with a picture showing she wanted carmel highlights and left with frosted blond hair. You know how hair used to look before good hairstylists figured it out. My daughter told Madison she did not like it (Which took a lot of guts) and Madison put a toner on it which didn't do anything for it. Still Blond, Not Carmel. My daughter paid and left, not wanting to say anything else to Madison because she is young and doesn't know quite how to handle something like this. My daughter went to another salon and they were floored at how bad of a job it actually was and what Madison had done. I then paid a 2nd time to have her hair fixed. I called Madison and asked for the money back and she said, let me think about it and would call me back. She felt like she did the work and she should get paid for her work even though it looked like total CRAP. Madison was supposed to call me back to let me know how much she would take off. SHE NEVER CALLED. I can't fight this on my credit card because my daughter signed for it. I have called and left a message for Rachel the owner to call me and she has not called. I sent Rachel the owner a message through facebook and still no response. People heed my words on how bad it was. If I could upload pictures I would. Please beware of Stylists who do not know how to do hair and still charging for it without a care of what you think or not. I think what this salon is doing is taking advantage of the young college students and have no regard for good work. read more

i am not actually an Auburn resident but often end up in the area for work. i always stop by here to get spruced up. Stevie is my gal with the glow. shes a fabulous technician and such a bright light of energy. the salon is professional but with that down home southern feel ive grown to love about the deep south. they are usually able to accommodate my schedule requests and overall the staff is all very friendly and professional. the location is a cute house to that gives a subtle nod to Steel Magnolias for me. cant say enough good things about Stevie! she makes the cut. read more

Okay I am really not one to complain or write negative reviews about people or places but I just really felt like I needed to share this. I usually go to a salon in Opelika but the girl that I usually see was out of town and I was needing to get my highlights touched up for a wedding. Someone recommended to see Heather at Tiger Lily Yall... I have pretty long, blonde and light brown hair and have never had a more damaging highlight in my life. When I left, my hair was falling out in clumps and had been COMPLETELY over processed to the point that I lost probably a fourth of all of the hair on my head. Like when I ran my fingers through my hair, it stretched like a rubber band and then tore off. Y'all it was honestly horrible.....like it was awkward how damaged my hair was. It was the WORST hair experience I have ever had. And she overcharged me....I asked before the appointment how much it was and she ended up charging me $40 more than she had said......and it was SO hot in her little room. Like I sweat the whole time. DO NOT GO HERE. In many places, my hair went from being about 10 inches long to just over an inch because the rest broke off and fell out. I don't even know what to say, but DO NOT SEE HEATHER FOR HIGHLIGHTS. Maybe she is good at cutting hair..? I am so sorry I just felt like I should warn people. Also, I go to Auburn University, but changed my name on Yelp so that I wouldn't feel as bad for writing this.... read more

Got an appt on Black Friday. Jeannie was a little behind or it would have been five stars, but did a great job. Most try to use clippers for speed, but she took the time to cut the sides and did a great job. If you are in Auburn for a football game weekend and need a trim this is a great spot. read more

Service was fine, but prices on website are misleading as cost of color depends on hair length (never experienced that before) and which person you see. Also, this place is less a salon than a collective of independent hair stylists, which is fine, but if you want the swanky salon experience, this is not the place. The girls who work there are all quite young and can be gossipy. I decided not to return. read more
