I had my Budget rental car towed on 3/29/25 they were contracted through budget to tow vehicle. We were at a rest area and the tow truck driver stated he could not take myself, husband and daughter in tow truck. Budget had given a voucher for an uber but we were unable to get an uber at the rest stop. I called back Jerry's towing and spoke with the owner. First he said I should sue budget for stranding us and he would try and help us out. I asked if he could have tow truck driver turn around and come back to get one of us to take us into town to get an uber. He then tried to extort me for 250 dollars and he would send someone to pick us up. I said no and then he said 100 dollars. I agreed then he stated that he wasn't going to that it is too much of a liability and he is not making any money off of us! I then told him I would leave bad reviews and he started getting nasty and stated I must be a BIDEN supporter. I ended up hanging up on him. Really disgusting how he operates his company and speaks to people on the phone.

Received a call around noon from the father - told me it was a bad starter and there would be a $99 diagnostic fee and $85 for towing (total of 3 miles). I said I knew it was the starter, and I need to return the vehicle to the dealership, as it was a new starter. I asked him how much to tow to the dealer - was told $175 (I had it towed by a local competitor for $95). I told him I didn't ask for the diagnostics, as I new the problem, he then said he wouldn't have towed it then. In summary, I paid $194 dollars to have my car towed 3 miles.

The employees were super friendly too. You can tell they actually like being here, which makes the whole place feel clean, easy, and welcoming. And the best part? A ton of gas pumps. He gave me piece of mind that I was in the right place and drove me to the hotel where my family was staying for the night. Monday morning I went back to A-1 and was taken care of by Steve. Where to begin! We were traveling through the state on 95 when our SUV pulling a trailer broke…read moredown. It was a Saturday afternoon and repair shops were closed except Cano's which was closing soon. I reached out to Cano and explained the situation and he said he'd stay open and wait for us once we got a tow truck. Not only did he stay open later, he found us an alternator (and topped our oil), and got us back on the road in about an hour or so. Not only that but his price was incredibly fair considering the lengths he was going to. He certainly represents the fine folks of South Carolina well. We couldn't recommend or thank him enough!
