I hate doing negative reviews but this is the only pet shop I've purchased from in years and I stupidly purchased some guppies and other fish to add into my established aquarium, figuring since this was a "well educated establishment" that they would have a quarantine room and stuff themselves. I WAS WRONG AND YOUR LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY (And admittedly, my own, for trusting yall) CAUSED MY TANK TO HAVE AN OUTBREAK OF ICH. A PARASITE. A MICROSCOPIC PARASITE. Mind you, I spent $75+ on fish here. As well as already $200+ worth into the tank I have. And now I'm at risk of losing ALL OF IT. Never again will step foot in here. read more

They need to take care of the ferrets better! When they are sick, they need to go to the vet instead of staying in a small cage dying!!! Horrible store!!! read more

This is my favorite LFS (local fish store), with a great variety of pets and fish. Tanks and fish are in excellent condition, and both the owner and staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They keep in tune with the trends and have competitive prices. My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to frequent this shop more often. read more

Visited this 'pet center' today and you would think a pet center would care about all of their pets that they are housing. All of their tanks have epistyllis, which is a deadly bacterial/protozoan infection that the owner has no problem selling to people and not warning people with any kind of signage that the tanks are infected. Their Guinea pig enclosures had a horrible smell indicating they obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while and their hermit crabs are on gravel with their only source of water being nearly dried up sponges, these crabs need to be able to fully submerge themselves in both saltwater and freshwater in order for them to be able literally breathe and survive on land. The owner is ignorant and defensive, not caring that care has been updated since 1985 when he claims he got started in the industry. Do NOT go here. They don't care about their animals and willingly sell sick animals that will be disastrous and expensive for you to try and treat. read more

I think this is a great pet center. I can't comment on the puppies but the fish tanks and the store itself is always clean. I am fostering a ball python for my son who is deployed with the military and I can always get what I need for Whisky here. The staff are friendly, seem knowledgeable and even when they are busy acknowledge you and let you know they will be with you in a few minutes. read more

The staff is nice and friendly but my review is based on the care of the fish. Everytime I go in there I always go look at the fish and there is ICK in every tank everytime I go. I stopped buying fish there a long time ago due to losing just about every fish that came from this store shortly after getting them. I bought a few tetras from there to add to my aquarium, they looked fine from the surface but once I got them home and into my aquarium all my fish died before the next day came. Dead fish are often left in the aquariums, some fish even have really really bad fin rot and other issues. Goldfish are always in the worst condition of all the fish they have. Would much rather drive the hour to Valdosta and go to the aquarium store there. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Their selection in African cichlids (and all other fish) is superb! Best I've seen in South Georgia, bar none. Tanks are clean, well maintained and the fish look very happy. I will most definitely be coming and buying more fish/fish supplies from this store! HIGHLY recommend for those who enjoy the rewarding aquarium hobby. read more

Friendly & very helpful staff. Open to 7pm most nights which I really appreciate. And they carry taste of the wild dog food which can be very hard to find anywhere other than pet supply plus. Pet smart doesn't even carry it. read more

If I could give this pet store a lower score, I would! I purchased a puppy from them, and she had too many issues to count, because I believe she came from a puppy mill! Before you judge me, I did everything in my power to help this puppy before I made the hard decisions of what I thought was best for her and me! After I wrote a review on their Facebook page, the owner contacted me and offered my money back! I asked what would happen to her, and his response was that he had family friends that their dog had been run over by a car! When I got to the store, he told my friend and I a little different story that the couple's dog had to be put down, but he didn't know why! Follow your instincts, because I didn't feel right about the situation! A week later, I found out that my puppy was at the shelter and two days after giving him the dog - she ended up at a vet because someone had dislocated her leg!! When I called him, he stated he didn't have a number or name of the person he gave her to, but he would call the shelter to find out what was going on!! That was in fact another lie, because I talked to the shelter, and he had not called!! This man does not need to own a pet store if he doesn't care about pets!!!! Please don't even buy a fish from him!! I have reported these activities to the proper authorities!! I have been told that my puppy has been taken by the rescue people to get the proper help she needs!! I have to fight for her rights, because he is wrong!!! read more
