Appointments and scheduling are easy and convenient through their text line. The team is efficient with insurance and billing verification before fillings and procedures so cost is known well in advance, and there are always friendly faces greeting you as you walk in the door. Each hygienist I have seen has taken extra time to educate and offer advice on new ways to improve my oral hygiene and protect enamel at home. I have been very impressed with the equipment used for my dental cleanings and procedures, many of which previous dentists I've seen did not have. It is apparent that Dr. Culler stays up to date with the most effective practices and procedures so that he can offer his patients the best dental care possible - for standard cleanings as well as for implants, crowns, and mouth guards. What stands out the most to me, is that Dr. Culler takes the time to talk with you, provide education on your specific problems, and answer any questions thoroughly. Dr. Culler has a very kind demeanor and has made me feel very comfortable, even during more invasive dental procedures including a dental implant. I have had issues with very bad grinding for years, which have taken a toll on my teeth. Dr. Culler has taken the time to explain the oral care products I need to protect my teeth from farther damage, including a mouth guard that I am able to sleep very comfortably with.

Upon moving to the area, I had originally chosen Tidewater Dentistry, Dr. Williamson and his staff because the dental insurance that I had was accepted by his office. I feel like I won the lottery. Now Dr. Williamson and his staff have moved across the street and have merged with Pineland Dental. The new physical location is clean, welcoming and has ample parking. From the very first visit, they have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, welcome, and absolutely fearless. So much so, that I do not have insurance any longer and continue at this practice because they are so WONDERFUL! Also - they offer a discount if you are paying with cash or check - BONUS. Staff has also commented they would be happy to help me go over insurance plans should I go that route again. (*Of note - I recently called before my first visit to the new location and Linda helped me go over an insurance plan JUST like she said she would in the past). I have NEVER been to a practice where I have been offered that help. You are always greeted with a smile and Linda has answered so many questions for me without hesitation. Dr. Williamson is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful and kind. He spends as much time as you would like with you and thoroughly answers all questions. Also, I needed an 'emergency appointment' to have a crown re-glued before I was leaving on a trip. I was worried that I was going to have to pay a fee for the 'emergency visit' AND the procedure - that's NOT the case at all. This is a practice where they do NOT nickel and dime you to death. It feels like family, and I mean that in the sense of the "traditional families" God gave each of us and the "non-traditional families" we tend to build around us. In particular, I need to praise Tasha, who has cleaned my teeth for years. Here are a few words to describe Tasha: competent, proactive, kind, and warm...bottom line is she cares about her clients. Next, I need to praise Teena, the office manager. She is the last person you see on your way out the door. Teena promotes goodwill in everything she does, advocating for each client. My mouth is so sensitive that I have had horrible experiences with ever dentist I have been to. I don't get numb enough so when they start drilling it is very painful. Also, I will feel pain for a week just from the numbing shots. It scares me so much that I put off going despite the severe tooth pain i was experiencing. One day it got so bad I could not stand it any longer. I called into this office because it was the closest to my house and luckily I was able to get a same day apt. I was so scared I brought my husband with me for support. The lady at the front desk greeted me by name and I was brought right back to a chair. Grace talked me through everything and made me very comfortable. I explained to her my bad experiences in the past and how scared I was. She went above and beyond to make me comfortable and offered me nitrous, which I gladly accepted after finding out I would need a root canal. The lady who had to give me multiple numbing shots had a special trick that made them completely painless, even one on the roof of my mouth. The dentist was the nicest one I have ever met. He walked me through the entire thing. I was completely at ease. It went by so quick and painlessly. I have hear horrible stories about root canals and how painful they are but this one was easier than any cavity filling I have had. I cannot even explain how relieved I am to have found Modern Family Dentistry and how comfortable I am to go back for future dental work.

First of all I had the best experience with the front desk- Nina. She told me everything I needed from my insurance company and each time I sent her an email with my x-rays from my dentist in California she would immediately write me right back. She was on point ever single communication. My first impression was sealed. Then I arrive on the day of my apt. It's a really nice comfortable waiting area (clean!) and a nice area for procedures, cleanings, etc. I was lucky enough to get Brenda on this day. Wow. She was very thorough and also let me know we new customers get fitted for whitening trays on our first visit for FREE! What!? It's like Christmas. Do you know how expensive those things are?! I hope to get Brenda every time. She was also very gentle and just in general cool to talk to. Then it was my time with Dr. Adams. What a great experience. He was VERY thorough and took ample time with me and listened to all my fears from my previous doctors visits. He let me know if I was "his sister" then this is what he would recommend to her... I was/am sold. He is totally knowledgable and I knew he was being straight with me and not trying to up-sell me. Upon leaving I went ahead and made my next 6 month cleaning visit and also went ahead and scheduled that new crown. My former dentist made me feel like I needed to hurry and get this done but here I learned I could wait but not too long- I felt like I trusted this office enough that I wanted it done there and why wait? Also a shout out to the nice lady, I didn't catch her name, when I left. She checked me out and was ready for me with the paperwork I needed and walked me through everything. Are you kidding me? EVERY SINGLE PERSON I CAME INTO CONTACT WITH WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD HAVE HOPED FOR! I will continue to come here and make this my home dentist. I 100% recommend this office if you are new to town. Review for 1 of my children. My child went in for their regular cleaning. My child came out looking…read moreabsolutely miserable. I knew something was wrong but they just kept saying I'm ok. I was told everything was fine just brush/floss better. When we leave and get in the car I get told that the cleaning was incredibly painful. And that my child even dropped some tears. Came home and gave them some motrin cause their mouth was hurting. Motrin wore off so I just gave some Tylenol so hopefully they can get some sleep. They are miserable! I've never heard of that from a cleaning with no other issues. My child told me that the hygienist was really rough and would slip and say my bad or sorry or something similar. I feel absolutely horrible for letting my child go back by themselves. They are older so I'm trying to let them do some things on their own before they are adults. But now my child is miserable and in pain and I get to feel like a horrible parent! And now they have unlocked a new fear of the dentist. :( I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because this is the first visit to go this way. But I was also in the room for the other cleanings.
