Went to this location for a run through wash, was automatically enrolled as a member without my consent. Thinking it was a an honest mistake after speaking with customer service the FIRST incident. I went back again because of the convenience of its location, needless to say they did it again, only this time they got me for the fee in January without me noticing. It's now February and I only caught January because I got a fraud notice today.. These people are crooks, STAY FAR AWAY! Was passing thru and needed a car wash so went online and subscribed for a monthly program. Online stated to wait up to an hour to redeem. I had things to do so did those assuming the wash would be available afterwards. 2 hrs still no email verification although the funds were taken from the account. Went to the carwash and attendant went inside and talked to manager and was told there was nothing that can be done. So after waiting 2 hrs I still didn't get the wash I paid for. If I could give zero starts I would. I went bought a $26 wash was offered unlimited washes for 30 days. This is the second time I did this. I thought it was a good deal. This was 3 weeks ago. Today I get a charge for 45.97 which I did not authorize. Called customer service and was told they would NOT refund my money. Was told that the kiosk and receipt started it was a membership. I didn't touch the kiosk the attendant swiped my card out the 2nd sticker on my jeep and I went about my wash. Never ever telling me I just applied for a membership! I get a text and they ask the same info as last time. Make of care ect.. never thought about it again until now ! Customer service lady stated" you can use the car wash until June but we won't refund you !!! Absolutely ridiculous! YOU ARE ROBBING PEOPLE! You have no heard the last from me. I wasn't impressed at all with this car wash. I paid $20 for the Dry N Shine Wash. There was plenty of soap going through the wash but the soap was all suds and no wash. My car was still dirty when it came out and I had to wipe of the dirt with a cloth myself. They do supply plenty of rags to clean your interior but the window cleaner they provide is the worst. Good thing I had Windex and paper towels in the trunk. Definitely won't be back. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Do not take your vehicles to Tidal Wave Auto Spas #tidalwaveautospa If you do so it is AT YOUR OWN RISK! This could happen to you! Thousands of dollars in damage was done to my truck and pain in my neck and back when the Tidal wave machine impacted the rear of my truck. I reported the damage to the manager when I noticed it 5 minutes after leaving the wash. They refused any responsibility! They have multiple cameras on site. They refused to look at them or let me see them. This would easily prove that there was no damage to my vehicle prior to entering the wash. If this has happened to you or anyone you know in Florence, SC or ANYWHERE in the country, please contact me or an attorney immediately! You deserve compensation and justice! I don't normally try to complain about much of anything but this past Sunday, I went thru the Tidal Wave Auto Spa on Palmetto St. The attendant working folded my passenger mirror in with the brush instead of folding it in by hand. Went thru the wash and as we were pulling out the other side, my mirror cover just falls completely off my truck. Made a report before leaving, owner calls me two days later and asks me to come by so he can check it out. The owner basically just walked over to my truck looked at the mirror and said there is no way the car wash could have broke the mirror and that it must have been damaged before hand. Now if you go in the car wash with a mirror and come out and it falls off, pretty obvious that somehow it got damaged while in the car wash. So just be warned that if your car gets damaged at Tidal Wave Auto Spa, they will take no responsibility for it at all. I canceled my membership and will not go back. read more

I've been a Tidal Wave customer since 2014 and the service is getting worse,they don't keep the machines running properly,the drying towels are dirty,the buff and shine brush doesn't dry the car as suppose. The machines need to calibrated more often and need qualified techs to fix what's not working. read more

Tidal wave is a great new car wash in the florence area. It's definitely on the more expensive side (their most expensive wash is 20 dollars) but they offer a nice monthly membership where you can pay $30 dollars for up to one $20 car wash a day. They also offer a $20 monthly plan for up to one daily $10 wash. If you enroll in one of the monthly plans they give you a RFID sticker for the inside of your windshield that scans at the booth as soon as you pull up to it. The monthly membership is non transferable so it only works with one car. The wash itself is mostly automated though they have people who will wash your windshield before going in. If you off road, they'll spray down vehicles pretty thoroughly before going through the automated wash. It's also not a touchless wash so it's important to have the back of your truck empty before going through. Also be wary that your hitch can potentially get snagged on the rotating brushes but for the most part they'll let you know if they think it'll be a problem. They offer free vacuums after your wash, which is really convenient. All in all, this car wash is great but it's a better value to just enroll in one of the monthly memberships if you plan on going more than once in a month (e.g. pollen season or for off roading enthusiasts). read more

Not a good car wash!! It was when they first opened but not any longer. It was a rainy day today, so they were not busy. I took my work truck in for their $20.00 wash. NO one washed the bugs off of my grill. The motion guy was half asleep and could hardly lift the brush to sling soap on about 1/3 of my windshield. I'm done, never going back. read more

There are long lines. My package was close to $50 per month and my car never got completely clean. There is a club members line, but that means nothing. The members line goes slower than the other lines. Do yourself a favor and find a teenager to wash your car weekly, it's a lot cheaper and the teenager will get your car cleaner than Tidal Wave. read more

BEWARE. If their wash malfunctions and damage occurs to your vehicle, they are NOT responsible and DO NOT CARE. A vehicle two cars in front of mine jumped the track which will shutdown the water jets, but it does not necessarily shutdown the track that is propelling your car (along with 3 others) that is on the track. Front end and backend crushed by other card. I have it video....and they do as well. They know the cost to the consumer, time and money, if you have to fight in court. Difficult to get car washed when most days on a tight schedule. Have to always wait more than 10 mins for a not so good wash! The windshield and bumpers are NEVER cleaned. I love taking my car here to get it washed. This automatic carwash gives your car the "new car shine". The staff are really courteous and polite. I do have a membership and I really take advantage of it during pollen season because I take it there daily. During the weekends you might have to wait 20 mins or so due to a lot of people so I would suggest going there Monday- Friday. read more

Today, September 22, 2017, I went to Tidal Wave to be rudely spoken to by the owner/ manger Adam Hammond. I would not suggest anybody support this location at Palmetto St. Adam Hammond was down right nasty to me. My husband and I have been members of this car wash since close to the beginning of Tidal Wave opening. We have canceled our membership and called to report the incident at the home office in Georgia. If Tidal Wave wants to have a good reputation in Florence, this man needs to attend customer service training and have a refresher course in manners. As a matter of fact, from the way his behavior was today, he needs to be fired. Folks, do your research and find out who this man is, and see for yourselves. wanted to call and complain, but the contact number on the website is not valid and there isn't an option to leave a review on their Facebook page that I can see. I go through my closest Tidal Wave several times each month. However, I will be canceling my membership after today. ‍ After going through the car wash today, I get out to vacuum it and realize that I STILL have dirt, dead bugs, and debris all over the front and the side mirrors on my car. I drive 120 miles everyday on my commute for work, so they bugs can get kind of bad on the front (which is why I pay for a Tidal Wave plan) I spent an addition 10 minutes scrubbing all the spots that were missed and proceeded to vacuum the car and leave. When I get home, I realize that on both sides above the rear tire has been scratched up. I've had the car for less than 3 months and so I know it wasn't like that prior to today. I know they have signs up saying they aren't responsible for any damage, but they don't have signs up saying they you'll need to scrub your car after going through their car wash just to get your car clean. Just incredibly disappointed. It's not worth the money. I'd recommend to anyone just go elsewhere or wash their car themselves. read more

I parked my car under a crepe Myrtle tree, and the left side was covered with stuck on flowers. I also had bugs on the hood and grill. That being said, the attendant half heartedly swiped at the right side of the windshield and car, and after spending $20, and sweating in the heat, cleaning my own windshield and vacuuming out my own car, I left with a still dirty car.
