You decide I received a ticket in a school zone for 29 in a 20. It was my first ticket in 14 years. Fee listed on the ticket was $156. Unger & Kowitt was recommended by a friend so I tried it out. $89 fee and and they went to court for me. They reduced it from $156 to $131 with no points or traffic school. So all in with fees and service changes I paid $224. I wasn't expecting a miracle but it hardly seems worth it. I could have paid for the ticket and traffic school for much less. When I called in a woman told me it was very good considering it was a school zone. Really? $25 less for the court is really good? I know it's a business and I don't think they wronged me. I got a ticket going 9 mph over the speed limit. The ticket was $131 to pay. I got one of their letters and called them. The receptionist promised me the world and said they were so confident there is even a money back guarantee if they were unsuccessful which was a slim chance. So I gave them my $70 and waited. Eventually, I got a letter saying I was found guilty and would be getting points on my license. Even worse, There was a fine of $506. So now by hiring them this ticket went from costing $131 to just pay it to costing $506 plus I had to pay these lawyers $70 to make that fine grow almost 4x. I could've even paid $30 to go to traffic school and not gotten the points. So I know what your thinking, "Didn't you get your fee back at least?" Nope. I called and spoke to Kevin Unger and this guy was like talking to a excuse machine. If he would've fought my ticket nearly as hard as he was clinging on to my $70 I probably wouldn't be writing this. He said some nonsense that I had previous tickets and rambling about technicalities that pretty much make their guarantee not actually apply to anyone. My time was obviously worth more than his as I conceded and let him keep his fee that he 'earned'. Anyone with a couple hours of free time can go to court and get any ticket adjudicated or plead to reduce the penalty. If you are going to hire someone to go do it for you I would definitely recommend you not use these guys. Hello, I had a ticket for speeding in a school zone and the officer reported that it was 18 MPH over the posted speed limit. I strongly felt that it was not the case. total citation amount to pay was whooping 419 $. I did not want to do it. I got a mail from unger and kowitt on my address about their services and I just picked them because the first mail i got was from them. I ended up getting a lot of other mails also. I also did a lot of search on internet , studied their website in and out and read a lot of reviews and also had a consultation with them on email regarding all my questions before signing up. The sign up process was like sending an email. That damm easy. The company was very prompt with responses. they told me that the case might take 6 months to resolve but it took only 5 weeks and my ticket got dismissed. No fine. No traffic school. No extra fees. I paid them a flat fee of 79$. Thats it and all done. This was the first time i was stopped for a citation in my life and having it dismissed means no records, no insurance hikes, no shame, etc. etc. Now obviously I am more cautious while driving but I dont think I deserved to pay 419$ for an offence that I hardly committed. Other thing I am from a different state and could not appear personally and they said they do not need u to be physically there unless there are any criminal infarctions.
