I've always hated going to the dentist, but since I started going to Tichy Dental, I don't dread it as much as I used to. Dr. Tichy, Barb, and Laura are all incredibly kind and easy to talk to. The staff ask questions about my personal life and they actually remember the details! I really appreciate the effort they put into making their patients comfortable. When it comes to the work, Dr. Tichy is a perfectionist. I've had dentists in the past who don't pay as much attention to detail, and it's had an effect on my teeth down the line. Here, I feel comfortable knowing that Dr. Tichy uses quality materials and won't let me leave the chair until everything is just right. Another thing I enjoy about going here is the microscope! Dr. Tichy has a microscope on while he works and a screen on the ceiling so the patient can watch what's happening. Most dentists dig around in your mouth without giving you much insight as to what's going on in there. Here, Dr. Tichy explains exactly what's happening and you can see the process. Personally, I enjoy this, but if you're sensitive to a little blood, you may want to let them know ahead of time. My gums bled a tiny bit (which I'm sure is totally normal while getting dental work done) so if you're sensitive to that, it may be best to look away. He bothers you for positive reviews then he massacred my mouth (blood everywhere) and his fillings kept falling out.. Told me while he was working on me that he no longer accepts my insurance.. and didn't want to fill my fillings.. he's soo discombobulated all the time.. I would schedule for my fillings and he would poke around in my mouth then ask me to come back because he doesn't have enough time.. I've never in all my life been treated like this.. Dr. Tichy and his family, (he considers his staff part of his family too), are professional, kind and so compassionate. Their office is clean, light and bright and, as a team, they are on-time with their appointments with rare exception. They even have real time video so you can see what he's looking at in your mouth, if you want to! I started seeing Dr. Tichy earlier in 2019. For many reasons, it had been few years of negelect with my regular dental cleanings & my gums were a mess. He sat with me, reviewed x-rays and listened to my dental history and concerns in our first visit. In collaboration with me, he devised a treatment plan and scheduled it out with me that same day. My 10 yr old was with my during my initial visit and said "he's cool and can be my dentist too". My kiddo is not a huge fan of the dentist but Dr. Tichy and Jill won approval very quickly. Recently, I had an issue over a weekend and they opened their office for me to come in to see what was going on. He followed up with me to make sure I was ok. They are a wonderful family owned and opperated business who truly care about thier patients and community. You can tell by thier dedication to serve. This dentist will never fix a mistake. This dentist will give you a crown that lasts a month. It will break after one month with his shoddy work, then he will try to patch it up with a filling and charge you for doing it. That will break too after one week. Then he will tell you to go elsewhere as he knows he can't fix it. He will refund you. But not all. That is how he makes his money. He did this to me. So I know. read more

Let me start off by saying I don't like the dentist. Not interpersonally, but you know the whole dentistry part. I had neglected seeking dental work for quite some time because of my history of bad experiences. After my second visit I must say, Dr. Tichy is in a league of his own. Mike is so tuned in to his craft it is truly amazing. He and his team are just wonderful. Jill was super welcoming and a wizard at working me in with my crazy schedule. All the while Trish had me cracking up. I felt super comfortable throughout the whole experience. I had fillings done on my second visit following my first for a cleaning and exam. While working on my fillings he discovered previous malpractice that resulted in further damage and readdressed the entire issue. I was shocked and of course further asserted in his aptitude. He quite literally saved my tooth! Also, big reason I'm not a fan of the dentist is the needles and novocaine (bad experiences again ftw). I didn't feel a thing! It was over in an instant and the entire procedure was smoother than I could have ever imagined. It's actually fascinating to see the dental work being done on the overhead monitor. I didn't watch the novocaine part of course but couldn't look away for the rest of the procedure. I can honestly say I left the dentist for the first time with added confidence and extra pep in my step. I'd give 6 stars if I could! read more

I called and got an appointment quickly after I noticed a few small cavities in my back molars. Before this appointment I had avoided the dentist for several years after experiencing a very poorly done wisdom tooth extraction when I was a young teen. Dr. Tichy was very patient with me and took the time to not only listen to my concerns, but also to check in several times throughout my cleaning & fillings. I absolutely love this office and their top of the line care, tools and genuine compassion for the patients. At my follow up/cleaning appointment after my fillings they were all incredibly patient and I felt next to no fear compared to past visits!! No one likes going to the dentist. I actively avoided it. I came in for a cleaning expecting the worst. Dr Tichy and his whole team was fast, friendly, and efficient. I got lucky and he only found a couple of cavities. They got me scheduled right away and a week later I was in the chair again. Before I knew it it was over. It was like he knew me and my teeth! I would never describe a dentist visit as enjoyable but i'll be damned if that one wasn't close. As an aside, Dr. Tichy is the only dentist I've ever been to who showed me what was happening inside my mouth (with a camera) while it was happening! It is surprisingly comforting (and interesting!) to watch the process in real time. read more
