Took two perfectly good Nixon watches in today for new batteries. One battery was replaced easily. But, my limited edition wooden faced Nixon watch that I've had for 15 years got destroyed. It did not have a busted digital screen beforehand and when I got it back it did. The watch takes two batteries. One for the analog and one for the digital. The screen is busted without the digital battery in it. I'm pissed. I wasn't charged for any of the batteries so I sense there is guilt in this. But now I have a busted watch. Came here to get the bracelet for my Seiko diver resized after one of the pins just fell out. Likely the collar wasn't installed correctly by my watch's previous owner. Got it done really quickly and checked the other links to make sure they were secure. Watch made it home on my wrist, so, so far, so good. I came in for a "completely off the subject" reason, I strolled around and decided to try on a watch that had the same band as the watch I intended to purchase online. Elian is a total sweetheart and offered his opinion when asked, double points for him because I damn near tried on (almost) every watch in the section! Lol. Even though he knew I was JUST browsing he remained serious enough about his business to ask me if "I'd like to see more?" Psh. I thought to myself "Damn this guy is patient!" I cannot speak highly enough about TicTime! I work at a dental office nearby, and stopped in Nordstrom Rack after work. When I left, my battery on my key fob stopped working with zero warning. Turns out, if the battery is dead in a Honda, you also can't use the actual Key to manually open the car (incredibly stupid design issue). I walked to target, no batteries of the correct size. I then walked to the mall, and decided to pop in and see if they by chance had an appropriate battery. They did, and said it would be $8. I said that's perfectly fine, I'll pay whatever, I just wanna get home! Not only did he replace my battery, he didn't even charge me! I cannot speak highly enough or thank them enough. It was Presidents Day and for reason I can't fathom, every watch repair shop in my area was closed. My son was in town from Baltimore and had broken his watch sparing with my punching bag. He was leaving out that same afternoon and I relay wanted to get his watch fixed. I called Tic Time after driving to 3 locations that did not indicate that they were closed and the gentleman assured me that he was open. I rarely leave reviews but just had to- My two dependable Timex watches stopped working recently (one about two months ago, the other two days ago), so I Googled "battery replacement near me." Tic Time came up, and although it had both one star and five star reviews, it was nearby in the South Bay Galleria, so I went. The guy there said it would cost about $20 each plus tax, and it would take about 20 minutes. I said ok and walked around the mall. When I returned he told me that both watches were broken, he tested the batteries to make sure they worked (they did), but neither watch worked. I said thanks anyway, and took my watches downstairs to another jewelry/watch store that I saw in the mall. I didn't tell the man what had happened, just asked him to replace the batteries. He said it would cost $15 each and he could do it while I waited. Less than ten minutes later I paid him $30 and happily walked out with two working watches, batteries successfully replaced (and times/dates set too!) Long story short I was in need of a good looking watch quickly. I found myself off the 405 in an area around Redondo Beach. Google showed me that there was a watch retailer nearby by the name of Tic Time. I was with my girlfriend and we were in a rush so this was the closest place that I just gambled on hoping that they would have something nice. I was in a rush to a wedding. Ultimately we got to the Southbay galleria, didn't even realize it was in the mall, until we got there. It was on the third floor and we walked in and Denise the customer service rep was very helpful. She showed me to A specific set of watches I was interested in and helped me try them on. We quickly decided on a clean faced Nixon watch. Denise size the watch. Rang me up and the entire transaction was very smooth and easy thanks to Denise. We were in such a rush that my girlfriend even needed to find the nearest bathroom and Denise was as sweet to offer their restroom inside of their business. Now! That's customer service. To the owners at Tic Time, whatever you're paying Denise, it should be more. I originally came in to get my nephews watched sized and to have the battery changed (which we did do), but we also ended up trying on every pair of sunglasses in their inventory. Sam was very accommodating and he very quickly serviced our watch then showed us every pair sunglasses he had in his store. He was super patient and I could be happier with the level of service and professionalism he provided. Tic Time is conveniently located in the SouthBay Galleria so it's super easy to get in and out.
