Tibbiwell Lodge is where I go when I want to visit with mates in or around the Cotswolds.
It is a lovely lodge built by a master mason, Richard, who is normally never in sight. It is a bit as if one were staying in their own house hidden away from the world in Painswick where one can
easily find the nearby racecource, watch a lively game of rugby, take a wonderful stroll on the Cotswold Walk, visit with Michael at the Royal Oak Pub (****), visit the beautiful Rococo Gardens or just be quiet at Saint Mary's Church and enjoy the yew trees.
Painwick has some of the best hidden Cotswold architecture of locally quarried stone anyplace in Gloucestershire. It's a charming village, magnificent vistas, Tibbiwell Lodge, Richard, and his beautiful dog Smugler will win your heart. read more
