The incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, incredibly engaging cheesemonger from France basically only had eyes for me (or so it felt; they take care of their customers so well here! I've never felt so spoiled!), and spent quite a bit of time both talking cheese with me and letting me try loads of different samples from locally made sources. I got quite a few options, and he did a spectacular job at giving me just enough of each so that I could have a Wine + Cheese Night For One back at my AirBnB. I also picked up some crackers, olives, and incredibly garlicky hummus. If you love cheese, do yourself a favor and come here. Even if you don't know where to begin except traits you like (funky, creamy, earthy, salt crystaly), they'll know exactly where to steer you, and will probably delight and surprise you along the way!

It's a daring place to set up shop as it's surrounded by fierce competition in the form of The Jazz Cafe and The Boston Tea Party. But this tiny cafe has done well to make a name for itself by serving delicious coffees and teas as well as tasty lunches and sweet treats. It's not the cheapest place to get yourself a caffeine fix, as a small cappuccino (and I mean SMALL) will set you back around £2, but are certainly paying for quality. For me, even though the service is fast and friendly, it's too intimate to want to eat lunch in there, but I love popping by to grab a takeaway beverage. And if you're lucky you'll walk out for with a free sample of one of their cakes to make you want to go back for more.

The mussels were in a delicious wine broth and there was an excellent assortment of breads though the focaccia was the true standout.
