We happened to come across this store while walking by. It is located a bit further away from the…read morecentral shopping district but the items hanging in the window drew us in. This is a small shop filled with high quality woolen products - sweaters, scarves, hats, blankets, throws, etc. While a few items could be found in many other stores they had a lot of unique and beautifully made items I found nowhere else during my time in Ireland (and I went to a lot of stores that had woolen goods and knitwear). Many items appear to be handknit and the prices reflect that. During our visit they limited the number of patrons inside, keeping the door shut to control the flow. There isn't that much room to walk around given the small space and large number of products on display. If you're looking for some knitwear or woolen products you cannot find elsewhere, stop by Cleo's to have a look.

Turns out, this building houses a few other shops (such as the vintage shop downstairs and Café Irie, both well worth a visit) and SeSi was only the shop on the first floor that sells new garments. Even though I was ready to go vintage-crazy, I wasn't disappointed. The clothes are SeSi are feminine, pretty and a little different than what you'll find on the high street. I do agree that some of it feels a bit Mass Produced in China but it's still cute, so I have a hard time caring that much. Also, the prices are pretty good, and you could easily manage to create an outfit here that looks like it cost a lot more, if you're into that kind of thing. They have some darling shoes and accessories too, which are also cute, girly and affordable.

The tiny boutique has a lot of hidden treasures so give yourself some time to look through all the racks and counter tops. Some of the great merchandise I saw today included some cheap vintage clutches, pretty colourful bowties for your hair and some funky black and orange platforms. It's also a good place to buy jewellery, especially dangling earrings. Some are made out of glass, others string and there's a collection of tacky Hello Kitty ones. There's tons of options for cheap clothing these days, but every once in awhile I stop and think why is that shirt so cheap? The answer sadly is more probably than not that some unsavoury labour practices were undertaken. Mayfly solves this dilemma: it's fair trade, the clothes are funky and cool and they're relatively cheap for the material you're getting. If you check in the shop they also offer classes on jewellery making and felt work amongst others and will hold private events showing how to do such things as make an old outfit look new and other great things. They also trade in the People's Park in Dun Laoghaire on Sundays.

Ruth was really helpful and set the items we selected aside as we shopped to our hands free. They have change rooms for you to try clothing as needed and an attendant to help you find sizes. What was really unique and cool to see was the Irish gold jewelry pieces and to learn the history about the particular source of the gold. They sell quality products from local and Irish companies. I went in there a few weeks ago with my Dad buying some things for Christmas. Everyone who we dealt…read morewith was lovely however, when my Dad asked them where the lift was because we were hungry. We were told by a retail worker who looked ashamed, that they did not have lifts. Only stairs. l then looked at the stairs and it looked like Mount Everest to me. My disability is 90% invisible however I know my limits and I had my wheelchair with me that day. The lovely retail worker offered us free tea or coffee for us to go. However at this point I felt dejected. All I wanted to do was get something to eat with my father. To whoever owns this store an/or the building; DO BETTER! How would you feel if you couldn't see half the shop? Grab a bite to eat and a drink? How would you feel if that was your child? We are only a few days away from 2026 and to see this type of discrimination against disabled people is shocking. I am n mincing my words. It was pure discrimination. Pure and simple.
