This is one of the few resorts on the lake offering this type of service. The guides spend all day on the ice looking for schools of fish. If they find a great area they will come and get you for a little ice trolling. It is a lot of fun pulling 10 perch out of a hole in 10 min. The night we were there they were waaaay understaffed so service left a lot to be desired. Our bill was wrong along with a number of others around us. The place has great potential and we may have just gone in on a bad night. I know how hard it is to get staff to show up around any holiday. If in the area again I may give it another try. What a weird bathroom. Men and women share it at the same time. How bizarre.

They also have free bike rentals, a great sand volleyball court, horseshoes, basketball, tennis and pickle ball. And if the lake is warm enough, there is a waterslide in the lake which looked fun. We were here Memorial Day weekend, and the weather was beautiful our first day, so we took out the paddleboards, and that was fun. The weather got chilly quickly, so I didn't have the opportunity to try the rest of the amenities. The pool is currently closed for construction. (There is a nice pool at the YMCA in Grand Rapids which we used one day for a $10 day pass). We stayed in a two bedroom lakefront cabin which was nice, but fairly rustic, and one of the bedrooms had absolutely no storage, (no closet, shelves or dresser). Next time, I think we would stay in the lodge rooms, which are a bit more upscale, with fireplaces, full kitchens, Jacuzzi tub and nicer furnishings. They have a restaurant/bar on site with a an outdoor patio and nice view of the lake, which is convenient. They also have free coffee and muffins in the morning at the front desk and at Otis's.The staff and management were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend, and look forward to coming here again, hopefully when the weather is a little warmer!

I left with a full heart. Sperrs' Point' Resort has an original rustic design with breathtaking scenery. Really. If you want to experience real beauty all you have to do here is look around during the day, look up in the night, and take a breath. Take a deep breath. Then experience what we are all looking for in life. Some sort of realness in this ever changing world. There's a soft sandy beach and the lake water is so clear you can see your feet at the bottom. Although I don't fish, I'm told that the fishing is great. During the day I watched my daughters on paddle boards reconnect in ways they never would be able to in the busy life we all experience. I watched children play in the water and on the beach all day and into the evenings. I just took it all in. The cabins keep the rustic experience of years gone by where families enjoyed the simplicity of time together without the clutter. We sat by the open fire in the evenings sharing stories. And we laughed. We really laughed. We looked up at a clear sky that sparkled with stars. We waited for the Northern Lights' magical dancing that never disappoint. If you're looking for more than just a getaway--if you want a place where tradition, family, and welcoming come together--this resort is the place. It has heart. Michael and Elizabeth Sperr' are the owners and I have the impression they want everyone's experience at Sperrs' Resort to be positive and have memories that will last a lifetime. The cabins (dating from the late 40's to the early 00's) are all wonderfully reminiscent of northern MN/WI lake cottages my family grew up visiting and brought back a lot of great memories. It is exactly what a rustic resort should be -- simple and quaint! We even found out that many guests and their families have been coming here for over 60 years! The beach is a true gem -- hundreds of feet of sandy shoreline and clear water. And because it's on a point, you have amazing views of most of beautiful Webb Lake. Each cabin has its own dock and guests have access to pontoons, fishing boats, kayaks and canoes. We'll be back next year!
